Thought I would check out just how accurate your statement was. "Central were continually the bottom side".

SANFL Wooden spoons from 1970-89:

1970: South Adelaide
1977: Central District
1987: South Adelaide
1988: South Adelaide

Panthers can hold their heads high why you ask well it was not a bad performance considering 11 of their players have no experience in league footy
4 players 0 games, 1 player 1 game, 5 players 2 games and 1 player 4 games.

Well done panthers.

Very disappointing Doggies you should of smashed them by 20 goals plus.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tough crowd hey, i think it was a very good day for the football club. Started by the reserves having an easy win and a few players coming back from injury playing. Then the league team won even easier, i don't think at league level you should ever expect to win by 20 goals. We got threw the game injury free i think and players such as Sansbury, M.Westoff took their form up a notch. We are top 3-0 what more could you want.

Roy Laird wants more. He locked the players up after the game and told them the 4th quarter wasn't acceptable.
We used to be good :-(

Central has only finished bottom twice, the first was in 1964 & the second in 1977. A better record than all other SANFL sides but equal to Port, I believe.

One thing I don't understand. Centrals with Mckenzie, Giles and Griffen, and so many strong on ballers had, according to the ABC, LESS centre clearances than South. Admittedly the doggies killed them outside the square, but if South were so shocking how did they beat the dogs in the middle ???????? :?

Watching the game on TV, South did seem to get the ball out of the centre more.

WHUFC nothing to do about being a tough crowd buddy, you obviously missed my point, i was quite happy Central won, however it was a poor performance considering SOUTH had 11 players with only 15 games LEAGUE EXPERIENCE in TOTAL amongst them HELLO do you get my point or not ???

We should of smashed them by 20 goals plus.

So under the circumstance the Panthers played pretty well i think.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.
