Good vibes at Arctic Park after today's game. First half was error ridden by the Panthers and the Bloods made the most of their opportunites to keep in touch until they had a run of the yips themselves late in the second quarter that set them up to be like sailor's wives in the third quarter. They didn't know which way to turn.
Craig Parry rucked most of the game with an occasional rest when Nate Twomey had a run. I don't think there was much difference between the two rucks except that Parry was a lot more effective around the ground.
Froggy Davey had a blinder. 6 goals and a gazillion tackles.
In the second half South tightened up in defence and ran the ball into attack with a lot more system than in previous weeks. Bobby Carlisle, Benno and Clarke were tight and fierce at the ball. But the delivery to Haynes was the highlight of West's day. He must have lace imprints all over his chest.
One big disappointment was the departure of the Bloods fans halfway through the third quarter.
Never done it myself no matter how bad the Panthers have been going. And there have been some bad times, so I don't quite understand why it happens.
