Also reserves player Damien Williamson. Plenty more that could head back to Henley in the future. Fairclough, Geddes, Davoren, Hicks, Symmons, McGregor!!!

Is there many players from the squad not playing in this trial? Whilst the league side looks pretty good there doesn't seem to be much depth from looking at the reserves side.

Powell , Treeby ,Grocke ,Staple are all outs .Plus any number of AFL listed guys who in the real season would be playing more games for WWT than the 2 AFL teams .
But I also note many new names in the two's .

Which other AFL players are you expecting to have available for you this year MIckyJ. I think you will get good service from Broadbent this year and Dawson should stay with you all year as a rookie. Banner, Redden and Salter you would expect to spend most of their time in the sanfl as well.

How about
JARED PETRENKO (played up forward last week and out of position)
JARRHAN JACKY
Will TRENT HENTSCHEL be playing all year for the Crows ?
Bret Burton should come back late in the year .
Then if Vince Knights Shirley fall in a hole and shirley is getting older.

I could list Stewart from the power as well.

but I am not expecting any of these to really play much footy with the club.

Petrenko
Jacky
Stewart
Shirley
Burton

I think all of them would be a chance to play 8+ games for the eagles this year which will strengthen the squad greatly no doubt. I would think that you wouldn't see Knights or Vince, remember he is in the top 25 players from SA currently. ;)

Westbrook, Geddes, Goldsworthy and Cullen would all be in the mix for senior selection too. Is Travis Lane still at the club? The Reserves does look dangerously inexperienced however, with only Fitzgerald and McEntee with senior matches to their credit.

Out of the 21 named players, only three have not played SANFL at League level - Cheep, Dawson and Banner.

From those teams the missing players Geddes, Goldsworthy, Grocke, Hicks, Lane, Powell, Staple, Treeby, Wright and Westbrook would be in or pushing for league selection, so there is a bit more depth than what it looks. Plus we should see a bit of Jacky and if we're lucky, Petrenko. I doubt we'll see Stewart or Shirley much.

Our top 15 or so is as good as any, but we do lack in depth and will need to see heaps of improvement from the young players and a lot of luck with injury/form with some senior players to compete near the top. Unfortunately when you rely on that, your chances aren't great.

From the reserves squad, I reckon McMahon and Jolly could push for league selection early in the year. Obviously McEntee and Fitzgerald have proven they're good enough at league level. The rest I know nothing much about.

I thought that there would be some missing that you eagle fans would recognise. I was just looking at the reserves side and thinking that side wouldn't get you to the GF like last years side did.

I did miss a fair few players ;)
And in a round 1 trial all the league players may not be ready to play.

I hope we don't see Jacky at all. Couldn't hit the side of a barn with one of his kicks.
Another great draft pick bye the Crows-NOT, and then the Eags pick him in the mini draft.
Eagles should have passed on the pick.
