Interesting to see Fremantle picked up the brother of Nathan Van Berlo, Jay. I heard the Adelaide recruiting manager Matthew Rendell on the radio say that they didnt think that he was good enough to be picked up by a cliub.

JvB > Henderson.

If Jay is ANYTHING like his brother, he will absolutely give it his all in order to make it. I've seen him play and he is a very similar player. Very tight checking, disciplined and looks to have good pace. A neat footballer. I think he'll make it. Could prove Rendell stupid.

Well done to Adam, great to see him get an opportunity and great to see it is with his older brother at Geelong.

Plays a similar game to Trav only tougher, he will go well I reckon.

I hope young lad at Freemantle does well as Rendell is very outspoken and sometimes opening your big mouth can back fire. Lets face it he has left two AFL clubs under suspect circumstances.

Schmidt who returned to Westies now a Crow - With Martin at the Power, Westies have more room on the Salary cap to chase a ruckman and take davenport in the mini-draft

Here here Smac, good luck to Adam, he is a lovely lad...

According to his old man Brian, Adam is probably the better footballer than Travis at the same stage so look out in a couple of years I reckon.

Lets hope he doesn't make the same mistakes Travis did in his early days and he may well progress to the senior side a bit quicker.

i thought Travis was reprimanded for drinking issues as well as a my space page that promoted black supremacy. Maybe i have my wires crossed but i think it was Varcoe.

I think you are stretching the "black supremacy" part of things, but he did have issues with MySpace and the nectar.

And Phil, I wouldn't spend too much time listening to Brian. Last time I spoke with him, Trav wasn't going to make it because he didn't spend any time kicking the footy with him as a youngster.
