Some interesting stats there for North. We dont get as much of the ball as other teams but we are more efficient - i like it. Thats the direct footy we play under Jars. Only 7 players to play every game doesnt surprise me...

Good Stats - and im sure we can all see some patterns !!!

Some stand outs !!!

North and South - catch us if you can for points scored
Centrals - The best offence is defence
South / Sturt / Norwood - Handball happy
West - just cant get the ball
South - Over use the ball and chip it around
North dont over use the ball - I still say they will play in the GF !!!

Just some observations !!!
It is what it is !!!

Is it just me or do I see the panthers doing well in all statistical departments except two.
Those 2 being controlled by "outside agencies" :?

Doing well's a subjective view, I've found them being too handball happy in the games I've seen them and the stats back that up.
Don't get me wrong though, I think the Panthers are an excitement machine at the minute and I look forward to the game tomorrow, should be a ripper!

In regard to the areas controlled by"outside agencies", you're actually the 2nd best team as far as the umpires not giving frees against you, that table should really be in reverse to show which teams are better off.

sorry, my oversight.
looking forward to tomorrow as well..... a short stroll to the game will make a welcome change, as well what should be a great spectacle with 2 teams playing some great attacking footy.
I was critical of souths extreme overuse of handball particularly early in the season and especially v north at noarlunga. As you will witness tomorrow we have refined the strategy somewhat. No longer is the ball going backwards, sideways and to a man under pressure. The ball is fired up the corridor quickly and now actually kicked to one of 3 leading forwards who now have space to lead into.
How this stands up against the obviously increased pressure the roosters will apply , well we will have more idea about that at about 5.00pm.

traditionally sides with a strong defence usually win finals and premierships, these stats would suggest North need to improve in this area.

Given that south are solid in their defensive action and can attack, they just might be the smokey
