Skipworth returning to Eagles

For the first & last time Ill say this , I hung up the boots at the club in Winters last year , but live in Woodville . So following the team is quite easy for me with home games & most away ones also . Having been on the inside at the club , felt the highs & lows , its enjoyable to be a fan nowdays . Having a good old rant regularly on a debating forum is also most enjoyable , but seeing the club sliding down the ladder however isnt ! We tried that " no spending money on recruits " with Winter , & I can tell you first hand that its doomed every time . Every top team needs top gun quality , especially through the middle , & the Eagles have been trying to manufacture it with guys like Fairy who are not up to it yet .

As I stated previously on this site and in a PM in 2007 to Holden I admire the passion for the club and have asked Holden to contact me to volunteer to be on committees, to help out, to assist officially - my offer remains as does my offer to meet with Holden face to face to discuss his concerns - Yet to be contacted.

Members are always welcome to be in contact directly with me giving name and contact details and are always given the courtesy of a direct reply and respect for being in contact. Which is also the case for any contact with the CEO or President.

I do share the disappointment of 2008 season and will be doing all i can to support the club to get back to top 3 spot (minimum) in 2009.

Once again i say - Holden please be in touch - with your passion rather than get angry volunteer to assist the club.
