True. But the Eagles were impressive, went hard all game and outplayed Glenelg. On that performance they should have creamed the Magpies!

Trev Hill looks like he has been watching a bit of Hawthorn in his offensive tactics.

Norwood on Saturday liked to leave a lot of space from the Centre Circle all the way to about 30 m from the goals vacant. The objective seemed to be to have the half forwards lead up into the square and then double back this allowed the likes of Trotter and Gallagher to kick the ball over their heads into space for them to run on to a la Hodge and Guerra for Hawthorn. The allowed the likes of Donohue to gain possession straming into the forward 50 and then either shoot on goal or pass to Walker or the other key forward.

It worked a few times especially in the 3rd quarter and led to the goal that put Norwood 12 pts in front.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

TM that's "legally" according to a you a known Bay supporter.

Photos on NFC web site clearly show the Bay player had his hands down elbows up and "off" the ground at the point of impact with JD.
I don't think you could consider he was going for the mark under any circumstances.

Perhaps you should consider the Bays very, very lucky that this and another incident which resulted in a free kick to Bartemuchi on the SW forward flank
where not reported, otherwise the bays would be short a very good but not fair forward and a quality but also not fair backman

Would have had huge impact on the Bays finals I would have thought.

Cheers

LOL

I've seen the photos on RLtalk and it happened right in front of me his elbows are in at the point of contact it was late so it was correctly paid as a free kick mind you Donohuearguable held it long enough for a mark anyway. if you think that was a report good luck to you.

I can't comment on the other incident as it was too far away from where I was sitting.

I agree about the Bartemucci incident. Out of character completely, but I didn't see what led to the final "blow".

Hi Psuedo and TM,

Love the sour grapes photo, even looks like me, remind me to get a face lift or, even a head cut

TM, He was very very lucky, the fact you checked the NFC web-site photos meant you must have considered it
borderline by biased Bay suppoter standards?

Anyway moving on, and yes I am biased NFC fan as well, I agree wholeheartedly it was one of the most bravest single efforts I have witnessed, his standing ovation
around the boundary when he came off stunned from both Bays and Norwood fans said it all.

On the Bartamuchi incident, I am also very aware that our man Muchi is a well known agitator and cops it sweet, the umpire
asked him a couple of questions as he covered up his bloodied snout, coming from the ground after he kicked the goal from the resulting free kick
no complaint, no report enough said

Cheers

Wouldn't have been anything Barta did, that's for sure.

Be thankful, Go-Legs, the club has viewed this incident very seriously and to teach the players involved a lesson, they have both been given a week off this week.

That'll learn them.

But they'll be back with more "fire in the belly" for the 2nd Semi.
