Port Magpies 15.8 (98)
Sturt 14.10 (94)

Port into the GF, Sturt plays North in next week's prelim.

Didn't something similar happen last year or the year before, know Port were involved in kicking 10 or 12 in the last 1/4 to win a finals match

I know South kicked about 10 goals in a last quarter against Port last year to come back from about 40 points down. The big shock being that Port was the team to beat last year and South was utterly useless.

38 points in it at 3/4 time.

Port quickly closed it to 18 points.

Sturts got it back out to 32 points at the 20 minute mark.

Port then got it out to 10 points before sturt kicked the last goal.

Stringer and Lycett sensational in the last quarter.

Johnston beat Solly all day. O'Malley struggled to touch it in the second half.

Game effected by the breeze blowing straight down the ground. Sturt by 27 at quarter time, 5 points at half time, and 38 at 3/4 time.

The game was spoilt by umpiring that was over technical and ruined the game.

Port Adelaide sent a player off to hospital yesterday with a suspected broken cheekbone. His family were told to take him to Wakefield hospital but they would have to pay $300. Poor form Port Adelaide, the lad spent all afternoon and evening in a waiting list at a public hospital instead. I would hope all SANFL clubs are better than that at looking after players.

I know that at the Eagles that we tell injured players to go to Wakefield as the Club doctor works there.

The player in question was very couragous, sitting under a ball and was crashed into. He was carried off and was seeing stars. He came back on but was quite obviously very shaken up.
