The same could be said for ALL the other names of past greats mentioned for the medal G...

Simple solution mate, DONT CHANGE IT...

I can't see why it needs to be changed at all, keep the 2 existing medals in place for the 2 new respective competitions. It would be somewhat disrespectful to the gentleman who are honoured with the naming of the existing medals to simply change it just because the structure of the underage competitions are now going to change. I would hope the SANFL don't even consider changing it. We have to keep some traditional aspect of the history from our Underage system that has been such a long standing part of the SANFL.

Perhaps in coming years we could change the Jack Oatey Medal to the Jack Cahill or Roy Laird Medal. You see what I mean, it just doesn't make any sense.

Name it the Ted Whitten medal, the SANFL is so keen to sell their soul to become the AFLSA, that they might just as well keep on going and finish the job to complete the dismantling of the SANFL.
