I can't believe we have retained Fuller's services this long , What has/was the club thinking?

I suppose in your life , you are a naturally born world beater that comes through on everything and therefore have the right to bitch about the lack of achievement of our club under Fuller's guidance.

You were probably still complaining about the 2004 GF on the night I was celebrating the 2006 Premiership

No way am I a world beater but I paid my hard earned money to the club, and think I can have some say after 2 of the worst losses in a long time.
I will be happy to wait until the end of the season for Ron to leave .If that is what it takes to get some change at oval ave.And IF he will GO.
Glenelg now coached by Mikan one year at oval ave
Sturt now coached by two of Rons assistants and Rick also coached at North .Sturt has destroyed both these clubs in recent weeks. Is that food for thought at both clubs !!!
Ron has guided the club to so many GF visits and we dip our lids to him .But his time has passed he needs to pass the baton on to some one younger with newer coaching ideas.
And no I was not complaining about 2004 after the GF win of 2006 .I was to busy rubbing it in to Centrals fans faces.Very quickly I might add
A couple of lessons that Ron never ever learned from Centrals.
1 How to win back to back flags
2 How to keep the eagles number 1 after winning the flag.

Football is like Fly fishing everytime you go out you must learn something while your doing it.
Woodville West Torrens I hope as a club we have learnt something from the last 10 yrs !!
And this year reminds me very much of Bruce Winters last year !!

Agree with Aerie and OWW.

A push to sack Fuller now will only distabilise the club which has remained strong and focussed through the ups and downs of the last few years.

A proper review needs to be conducted, and accept the result then.

I said at the start of the year that our first-pick team would be as good as any, but a few injuries and we'd end up with a year like Sturt's 2006.

Not sure that there are players whiteanting Ron .But many have already left under their own steam Peddler two weeks before the year started .
Twomey unconfirmed
Biagi and MAckie gone
Some of the older players look slow with old legs .
And there are rumors of who is going at the end of the year may notbe many players left for a new coach.Of course they may stay if Ron is gone.

SturtPeter I would say there are injuries to a few good players along with Passador .And under 18 players still missing.

Rick outcoached Ron end of statement

No Symmons, Cicolella, Passador, Fairclough, Redden, Grocke, R.Fiacchi, plus the two State Lab Rats in Davoren and Broadbent.

No I don't think Fuller should go right now, that would be the worst thing to do. Maybe at the end of the season perhaps.

What would be yours and others thoughts if he announced right now that he will go at the end of the year?

Rick is proving to be a very good coach, however still a lot to do to achive Ron's feats. Gut feeling is he will be a premiership coach in the next two years.
Mark left for the adventures of the AFL after doing a stellar job at the club and helped set the foundations.
Again good chance of being a premiership coach.
However in this fickle world we all know if 2-3 key players go down premiership aspirations can be destroyed.

The club will review the 2008 season and make their decisions on playing and coaching staff.
Thats when the hard decision will be made, not some ill conceived spontaneous momentary lapse of reason

No, of course they wouldn't sack Fuller based on this thread, but I'm sure this isn't the only arena the current state of our club is being discussed. And such things have funny ways of infiltrating clubs, which is what the club has been strong in avoiding since the merger.

Well all i can say is the many diehards yesterday were not happy !!
And not the ones who were calling for Rons head in 2006 but the Quiet majority of fans .
The ones who appauld the team players no matter what even they were shocked with yesterday's game.

Well i must agree it will all happen at the end of the season. But I hope the club does not miss out on a new coach with new bright ideas who ever that is.
I for one do not want to be told how set in his ways my coach is .How he will not make changes or try new things .
And i for one am not happy with the recruitment of players since 2006 that needs to be addressed as well as coaching staff.

But you must acknowledge it is also that "set in my way" stubborn attitude that has brought about sustained success?

At the end of 2006, there is no way the club could have asked Fuller to step down, and nor should they have. Previous to 2006 there were always people calling for his head anyway. Don't be writing Fuller and this playing group off yet...

And Ron told players and coaching staff he was leaving at the end of 2006.Thats what I am saying and have been told so by 2 different sources.Perhaps thats me being stubborn and set in my way
Well the players would need to pull their collective socks up.One former Victorian was very bad yesterday at both ends of the ground.
And the two AFL scouts sitting near me left unimpressed yesterday I know one was from Adelaide not so sure about the other.
