Superstar Ian Callinan has missed the last 8 weeks with a "strained hamstring" for the Doggies...

Might not look too good for Pass and the Eagles hopes of getting back into the 5... :(

Still think they'll just win on the weeked though... :D

Big Phil...

Who really believes the team injury lists though? Luke Cowan missed all of last year with a shoulder reconstruction that was listed as a bruised shoulder for the duration.

Correct Wedgie .
But Pagans or should I say Fullers Paddock was in play that day.For some reason when Pass plays the 50 is not clear like when Schwarze plays there.
Would be very interesting to see if the paddock makes a comeback this week.

I didn't notice anything during the weekends game against the Redlegs and there was no mention of any injuries from the game in the Sunday Mail which leads me to one conclusion and that is something has happened to him at training during week. Can anyone shed some light on what has happened to him. He will be sorely missed this week and if we were playing anyone but South it could have possibly meant a loss.

It's silly, arrogant comments like this that make me feel justified in my reasoning in not having a lot of respect for the Eagles and their supporter base. There are a few hybrid followers out there that are a bit too big for their boots. Your side is 3-6 for s#*t sake!!

I hope the Panthers get up!

You need to get a life MST. It was a light hearted comment meant to be seen as some friendly banter. You obviously take things too seriously. I can understand if you were actually a South fan but your not. Grow up son.

That is a pretty ordinary attempt at a back peddle 'son'.

It was an arrogant comment, so why not just put your hand up and stop trying to deflect the attention to me by suggesting I need to 'grow up'.

I may not be a South supporter but I have called it as I see it and I would think the South forum users would think it pretty disrespectful.

You need to take a good hard look at yourself son and get off your bl*^#y anti-eagles bandwagon. I detect maybe a bit of the old green-eyed monster coming out in you MST. Maybe a tad jealous because the Eagles have been so superior to the Blues since their inception. When you barrack for a side as good as mine you can afford to err on the side of optimism (not cockyness) in most cases. Yes we are having a slower start to the season but I wouldn't go writing us off just yet MST otherwise it might just come back and bite you on your backside.

Obviously no reasoning with you is there sunshine?

Dare I say it is yourself that needs to take a 'good, hard look at yourself'. If you read my initial post again, s-l-o-w-l-y, you should find that it doesn't constitute any 'anti-eagles' sentiment but rather an 'anti an arrogant little di#@head making a stupid, misguided comment' sentiment.

I reckon you would have been sweating bullets half way through the last quarter at Noarlunga before your side managed to use the get out of jail card. Hardly the sort of form to inspire mass hysteria amongst other finals rivals.

That all being said, I am well aware of the winning streak WWT holds over my side but I have a sneaking suspicion that this Saturday is as good a time as any to redress that inbalance. It should be a good game of footy.

I am ofcourse entitled to feel pretty confident yet wary at the same time......

This is not a dig at you MST.But the game before WWT beat Sturt at Thebbie they struggled against Norwood .The main reason the Eagles won were two very stupid frees in front of goals by the LEGS.
Having said that the Eagles played some very good quick running footy for 2 and 1/2 quarters .As for that matter so did the Panthers.
The difference being the entire day and the last 10 minutes .That the Eagles had more DESIRE more BELIEF. And most importantly players using their VOICES.Not to forget tackling reappeared as did high flying marks and long kicking. Not to mention big name SOUTH players(namely one delisted by the crows) waiting for the ball to bounce and losing the ball.
And no I am not getting over the top with that hard fought win but the BELIEF has been reborn in the entire CLUB.
So just be warned FAVOURITIES ie STURT do not always win just ask the TAB.
Cheers

I wasn't just referring to your last post on this thread. I have noticed over time in a lot of your posts you have had your fair share of anti-eagles sentiment. Hardly surprising though with the way my team has embarrased you in head to head battles over the years. There ain't no way any of my posts on this thread are arrogant. I am a very proud, passionate and confident eagles supporter it's not my fault if you choose to see my optmism as arrogance.I believe you are the one that has the problem sunshine.

the only reason sturt would be favs is through position ladder, everything else points to the eags....being away from the action though, its hard to really get a sense of it truly, but im not at all confident, hell, 14 or so losses in a row kinda dents the confidence a little doesnt it

but we have the team and the results this year have shown we are top 3 material. The team going out on the park in a few hours looks strong on paper so this is as good a time as any. The time is now blues!!

Anyone with any idea how many more weeks Passa might be missing. He is clearly missed - It creates a big hole in the team with him not being there.

I'd really love for Pass to come back and give the scorers a work-over but, like anyone else, he needs time to recouperate

Speedy recovery, M(6)P!

But yes, it was a pretty pointless comment wasn't it?!
