Drinking did play some part in what occured Friday night so that is as good a deflective an excuse you will get. Considering 1 player Coulter had walked out during the week and was not named in either Seniors or Ressies and the other 2 were out injured you would hardly think drinking on a Friday night was big news!
What Capt Cordial and "others" have posted re the "list" is right on the money and was the catalyst for what occured with the 3 players.
I can understand why the club wouldn't want the "real" story to come out Drebin so i guess the point I tried to make, without really making it, was that Warren Partland's article today was pretty pointless apart from highlighting the fact that 3 players were going to be sacked. And like mentioned a few times, that is not completely accurate either with Josh Coulter leaving earlier in the week. I guess it would just be easier on all involved, including members, supporters and the current playing list, if the club just came out and made a statement as to EXACTLY what went on the REAL reason behind thier decisions made.
I mean if they tried to gloss it over with a story of the players drinking the night before, it's not really all that plausable, because as mentioned as well, none of the players were not even going to play in either the league or reserves side. Just get it all out in the open, deal with it as best as they can and let the players focus their energies on the game ahead this week against South Adelaide. I really think that North may just get done by the Panthers this week, especially if all the off field rumblings don't have the door well and truly shut on them before the weekend.
I don't blame some of the Roosters fans for the comments posted on here about their club, it would be really dissapointed to have this kind of thing happen half way through a season that they have struggled to recapture the form of last year. Will be really interesting to see how the rest of the season unfolds for North, I'm of the opinion that they are still a forced to be reckoned with, even with all the crap going on behind the scenes, they still have a few quality players in their line up and on their day, are good enough to beat most sides in the comp.

Captain Cordial wrote:Phil, when the NAFC finally comes out with a statement, I will be interested to note if a mention is given to the original issue of an employee of the NAFC giving out information to the Greenacres footy club in the form of a list of players that had been compiled by the club as possible/probably not required at the club in the future. This is the starting point of this whole thing, let's see if Elliott or Moore put their hand up and be honest and whether or not they are prepared to accept the consequences of their unprofessional actions. I bet they both duck for cover!

And then to make matter even worse, the Greenacres coach has supposedly rang one or some of these players asking if they were interesting in playing in Div 5 Amatuer League with the player(s) in question not even aware they would not be requried by North...
Bet that wont come out in the media, if it is true of course. Such drama at North, can anyone attach a music file to this link that plays the theme music to Days Of Our Lives when you open the link. Would seem somewhat appropriate but terrible it's happening at a League club...

Judging by your posts regarding this situation, which is pretty dire, you've got a personal issue going on....

Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

Lets be honest what has allegedly occurred with the leaking of names and or a document is an integrity issue and a very unpleasant one, however as has been pointed out, this will probably be covered over by the fact that 3 players were allegedly consuming alcohol on a Friday night, even though one had quit another was out injured for the season. I for one now will hold my comments until we get the official announcement hopefully tonight as promised by the NAFC to see what their side of the story is

The drinking is just a cover up as I'm sure the club and the players concerned would not want the details of what happened at the club to come out but again none of this would have occured if not for the "leaked" document.

So your happy to take all blame away from the players here?

Its got me stuffed why the club havent come out with the truth straight away as it cuts out all the innuendo etc and shows the club is bigger than the individual and also shows some steel and backbone.
