no wonder they get called feral

Postby bayman » Mon Jun 09, 2008 7:01 pm

right on the 1/4 time siren, both mal & i thought we saw a port player spit a justin macconnell & a skirmish happened, i went out to the team huddle & as the players were breaking out of the huddle to go back to their positions i asked justin 'did i actually see a port player spit at him' & the answer was yes

& they wonder why they get called feral, this is disgraceful & if a glenelg player did the samething i'd think exactly the same

i wont name the player in the hope he may regret this & apologise to justin during the week

Over summer like a number of posters in here I enjoyed watching the NTFL competition on ABC2. What really stood out from a number of the games that were shown was the sportsmanship on display on the ground including players from opposing side congratulating their opponents on kicking a goal - albeit subtly.

There is no place for spitting at or on another player in the SANFL competition. Naturally players are going to be frustrated if their side is losing, yet its about playing the ball not the man. Most likely nothing at all will happen re the above incident as the Glenelg football club will most likely let it go. Yet it is something that should be addressed and an apology forwarded to set it right, not just for the player that was spat at, but also to give the player that did it an opportunity to wake up to himself.

Ah so that was why there was a bit of a scuffle.

Some loose elbows went astray at the Bay today. Hargreaves let his elbow get away from him late in the third term...Rudolph went down and wasn't all that well afterwards. Hargy wants to concentrate more on the footy than attempting to smash Rudolph from behind too...

Still, no fingers from him today...he was too busy getting towelled up by a genuine competitor...

Boo Fatalberton for shouting out "look at the scoreboard" throughout the first half...he copped a hammering when the Bays hit the front :D

Could not believe I saw the spit today.
I dont think the player should be named.
Things happen on the spur of the moment.
Im sure he is embarrased by his inappropriate action.

Im still mystified about who is ken that was mentioned several times in the PA huddle at 3/4 time ?
