its interesting to note that the same thing happened to neil kerley at west torrens back in the late seventies. the bottom clubs havr to understand , and i include my club west adelaide in this catagrey, that this is the way these guys opperate, this is why they are so sucsessful.you dont go and question their training methods,or the way they comunicate with their players just because someone gets their nose put out off joint, the proof with these guys is the premiships that are lined up behind them, south should have known what they were taking on, jack was there to try and guide a bottom club in the right direction, he was not there to have a bottom club question his proven coaching methods, they got rolled by the bottom side last week,if the coach says we train a extra day next week, you cop it sweet, you dont have a moan to a board member, and it is for this reason, that sides like this will always be at the bottom

All to true!

What concerns me is that it isnt hard to make comparisions between South and West for this year. West managed their first win against South last round. Yet the coach of West Adelaide Andy Collins has had the full support of the club despite not having gained a win and not having seen the new recruits into the club dominate the competition as many thought would be the case.

All clubs have various dickweeds that are members and in Westies case one of them decided to give the coach some hate mail early on in the season. The members of the club responded by flooding the coaches letterbox with messages of support and encouragement.

It is because of an attitude like that, that Westies will make the climb up the ladder. South meanwhile will contine to struggle. My concern is that at the end of the season if South have not won another game, which is a strong chance to happen, how many knives will Clay Sampson be picking out of his back from the same people that stabbed them into Jack Cahill? Will the club stand behind Clay Sampson when its eight losses in a row and no real signs of improvement are there to be seen?

Hi Matt, it was printed in the Saturday Advertiser, so I am not sure if it has been picked up by Adelaide Now or not?

When did Jack become too old? I'm pretty sure he hasn't aged that much since the South Adelaide Board appointed him. Will they take any heat for obviously not doing their homework?
