What was the definition for a renaissance? I know an era was 1 flag amongst 5 consecutive finals appearances.

Eagles were shocking in the final quarter yesterday. North had all the play and dominated that final quarter, but had the Eagles not had Passador in that side, the game really should have been over at quarter time.

Eagles had to move either McGregor or Hentschel up forward, to give their midfielders another target other than Passador.

I was also confused with where Fuller played Schwarze, given he is a proven goalkicker, and kicked 8 against North the last time the two teams played.

Younie's performance in the final term was sensational. Someone had to step up for North, and Younie was clinical in his finishing...he has improved considerably on his 2007 form.

I was surprised to see O'Brien running around in the 2s yesterday. I've seen North about 6 times this year, and O'Brien has been in their best couple every time...I haven't read any North related threads this week, so perhaps have missed the rationale for this move, but he is a very good league footballer.

Enjoyed listening to Jarman's 3/4 time huddle speech. He really does his rev ups well...

Absolutely not. Obviously it's not good seing your side have a 7-2 goal last qtr kicked against them. A narrow 20 point loss this week and a narrow loss against CDFC doesn't mean we are imploding. We have Norwood next up after the week off due to the state game. I'm tipping Norwood get us back to winning form and then South after that. By end of round 11 we will have ourselves back in the top 5.

The Eagles have a tremendous amount of depth in their side, so to write them off at this early stage of the season could just be a little premature! :?

I have absolutely no doubts in saying we will beat both Norwood and South which will put us ahead of both.

I think its the recruiters at my beloved Eagles that have imploded .biggest problem no hard in and under players at present. Plus the under18 players lifted that league side where were they last week playing in a under 18 state trial game what a joke .
Moving players up forward someone said how can u play Passador Schwarze Macgregor Hentschell Grocke Salter all up forward in one team!!
And Schwarze was brought over to play CHB not FF!!

And yes I am still pissed at losing the last two weeks look out Victoria tomorrow the gloves are of in state games!!!!!

We haven't had a rennaissance thread for a while. I think they are more fun. It is much more amusing reading a deluded individual's beliefs about how great their club is and will continue to be in the future......... unless someone from my club does it. :(
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
