Grahaml - I thought it funny a couple of years ago when they beat us at Alberton and the crowd were celebrating like they had won a GF. It brought back memories when doggies supporters would have reacted the same way if we beat them at home. The pendulum has certainly swung 8)

We don't. We have chosen to wear it. I think they look great, but it seems I am in a minority.

I'm still trying to figure out how PAFC1870 thought our away guernsey clashed with Port's. Could explain for some of the turnovers I guess....

Okay, so i was a bit over the top with my reactions to NO-MERCY's predictions of yesterday...

I guess you are right johntheclaret, it easy to say my bit after the fact, but I just think that some people (from every club) can, at times, say a bit too much and underrate players...

I guess they do so at their own peril and the actions of these blokes on the field will speak louder than words, as so brilliantly proved yesterday by Dan Havelberg...

I guess that is what is so great about a forum like this, isn't it...

EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion on anything and anyone football, but at the end of the day, some people will be right and some people will be wrong, hey ???!!!

NO-MERCY, I was a bit over the top with my response to your comments, sorry mate, I just can't help myself sticking up for my clubs players because I'm so god damn passionate about them...

Great return to form and a wonderful win by the Doggies yesterday, highlighted by a great game from Havelberg, Thommo, Sully, Buckets, Haysey, in fact almost APW. You're right though, Corey Ahchee did have a bit of a shocker, but we all know he is a good enough player (and a top bloke to boot, got drunk with him one night last year at the Sandbar down in Henley) to bounce back, hopefully this week as he is probably going to have another big task, lining up on one of the 2 big VIC goal scoring machines in Podsiadly or Sautner ???

Don't worry, I'll be cheering both Corey and the SA side just as much as I do Centrals. As much as I love Centrals and "hate" all other sides and players, I hate the Vics even more than that and will be hoping we can really show them who are the best State team outside the AFL...

GO U DOGGIES & CROWEATERS...

Big Phil...

No drama's Big Phil, I got a little carried away myself mate, i don't mean to sound negative on Havelburg, its good he may have got some motivation out of it. He played very well & deserved his 9 goals, i've never seen Achee towled up like that & Havelberg certainly did that, if this lad can get some consistancy in his game he'll kick 100 in a season.
Doggies far to good overall on all lines of the ground, just when i said their not playing at their best they go & shove that in my face. Well done!

We don't. We have chosen to wear it. I think they look great, but it seems I am in a minority.

I asked Heath Lawry why we wear them & he told me that most of the players don't like the bloody thing! He doesn't know why we wear it.

It's a board decision, not a player decision.

The board haven't stuffed up much in a long time, I'm sure there is a valid reason (possibly to establish our design before the SANFL make it mandatory and pick them for us?).

Hey NO-MERCY,

No worries man, it's all good mate, "play on"...

I always knew that Hav was capable of consistent, quality football and know that 2 big games where he has kicked 9 & 14 goals make him look like a 2 game wonder but like I said, unless you are in the inner sanctum and see the lad week in, week out, you wont see his progression as much. Certainly think that he has struggled at times this year, maybe because he is now getting a bit more attention as the "unknown" factor is not there anymore.

Certainly agree that Ahchee had an off day mate, he just didn't seem to be his usual self. But in saying that, full credit to Havelberg for dominating the way he did. I hope we see plenty more of this kid in years to come. Might have now reignited the interest on AFL scouts ???

Cheers,

GO U DOGGIES...

Something must really be done about that piece of false advertising in the Port race at Alberton Oval - "Unbeatable at Alberton". Maybe it should be shifted to the visitors race!
