Premiership Ladder at the conclusion of R9

Code: Select all
Team      F     A    P    W    L    D    Pts    %
Glenelg   873   595  8    7    1    0    14     59.47%
Sturt     835   511  8    6    2    0    12     62.04%
Central   757   574  8    6    2    0    12     56.87%
North     789   795  8    4    4    0     8     49.81%
Norwood   546   713  8    3    4    1     7     43.37%
South     530   783  8    3    4    1     7     40.37%
WWT       808   824  8    3    5    0     6     49.51%
Port      697  773   8    2    6    0     4     47.41%
West      517  784   8    1    7    0     2     39.74%

Fascinating ladder, first time all season that all teams have played the same number of games so it gives us a real indication of how the teams are faring.

North are hanging on to the top 3 by skin of their teeth (sporadic form notwithstanding), then down to WWT are fighting for finals appearances. I think Port are now looking to next year and West would be looking to audition as many kids as possible.

How the hell can South & Norwood be that high on the ladder after the weekend they've just put in? I think there's a big tumble looming for these 2.

Top 4 will be there all year.

Whoever falls into 5th will surely only be making up the numbers.

Eagles ahead of Norwood or Port for 5th, South & West finished.

Top 3 will be, for sure.

North would want to play a bit more than 25 minutes of football each game...

5th could be one of the worst ever minor round records for a 5th placed team I reckon...

Which is ? Spelly?

That's interesting. We have played Port twice and not South.

South must have a strange draw!

After the State match you have South at the Ponderosa, & after the job you did on my Magpies at the weekend, I can't wait to see what the winning margin against South will be.

Spelly will obviously clarify/correct this but Westies in 2004 would have to be right up there as far as teams with inferior wins to losses making the five (I believe they went 9-11 before losing to North in the Elimination Final)

I don't see the top 3 doing anything except swapping positions around. The EF is a race in 4, but it's hard to see Norwood and South making it. But you never know. It all looks very predictable at the moment but it's amazing how often things change dramatically as the season winds on.

I still feel very, very good about the dogs chances again. Would be extremely disappointed if the dogs didn't make it. And once you're there you've got a chance of winning it.
