Tribunal Result?

Postby Hazydog » Wed May 21, 2008 9:31 pm

According to the SANFL website J Clayton's case was being heard last night. Unless I am not looking hard enough I haven't seen or heard about the result. I can only assume he got off & everyone is too embarrassed to mention it!

He got off (again!) - seriously must have some "dirt" on someone.

Cue Spelly - how many times has Clayton been:
Reported
Suspended
Reprimanded
Cleared

Not a definitive answer, but it's definitely more than three times to all.

Thanks for the update Guys - I stopped buying the weekday papers a while ago as I was sick of reading drivel on the Power & Crows.

He does seem to have led a charmed life at the tribunal.

Seems his word over an umpire is ok but obviously Thommo's wasn't...(Having said that I acknowledge that if Thommo made the slightest contact with his head then he deserved a game for stupidity alone.)

I dont buy it myself for the same reason Hazydog. Plus what do they write anyway ?

I cannot believe Clayton got off that. I would love to know what his defence was? Since when can you punch a bloke in the face and get off. It was right in front of me everyone saw it and Clayton was booed off .
What did Thomas get reported for ? Certainly wasnt striking was it ?

Since Squealer Bienke set the precedent - although he did get his club to stand over the umpires to achieve it.

The Clayton decison simply highlights, once the again, the shocking inconsistancy and utter incompetence of the SANFL tribunal system.

I really think it's absolute joke the way they operate and I'm sure as many of you would agree, there are so many examples of this, including the latest decision on Clayton, to prove my point exactly...

I think, as previously mentioned, the whole tribunal system needs to have a complete overhaul and the SANFL really needs to find a system that is both consistant and reasonable. As it stands, IMHO, they current system is a complete joke, and will remain so until changes are made.

GO U DOGGIES...

Big Phil i totally agree with you, Clayton from memory has been up twice this year and has got off twice for striking, both were obvious ones to. In the AFL they would have got at least 1-2 games for what he did.

The SANFL tribunal system is a joke and needs to be changed quick smart. Jarman should have got a game suspension and fine for abusing the umpires, i heard he was happy if he got a fine that was less than $1500, channel ten would have paid it anyway.
