Maxyoz - any chance you could lend your "Kick a Vic !*" sheet to Norwood FC for the day - given that the whole 2005 state team signed it for Lee's cause?

A genuine show of support for the lad by the league's best players.

Would also be nice to add "Lee Blake #41" to the sheet, so he is not forgotten...

Just got back from Blakey's funeral and as expected there were plenty of tears all round ... Pretty good numbers which I couldn't put a finger on because Im hopeless at that sort of thing (as evidenced in the BFC threads).

It was a very well done celebration with many great stories focusing any Lee's customary cheek.

Also a great touch by David Wark (as always), when he talked about picturing Lee, with Jimmy Thiele, Jack Oatey, Jamie Tape and young bucks Sam Davis and Jake Watson all chatting about footy from a better place.

Think the event would have provided the necessary closure for many who were in need of it.

That "Kick a Vic" banner was sold on eBay in aid of the foundation named after him right?

What's stopping us from doing that again? Or maybe getting an SA jumper signed by the team and auctioning it off on eBay?

Stay tuned, we're considering organising an 'SAFooty fund' from which half would go to Blakey's charity and the other half to Sammy Ds.
