All this aside I was even more appalled to hear that the cheer squad started a chant to the effect "westies are sh*t” .

Judging by that comment, they probably aren't old enough to remember the late '80s, early-mid '90s.
A clip under the ear and a history lesson might be in store.

Nope OCT don't think I need to ring the club because it was quite obvious to me that is was a vast minority causing problems and as I posted before, the average Sturt fan around us was embarrassed by the few idiots in the crowd and some of them actually came up to us and appologised.

Its all good OCT and IMO sometimes too much can be made of these incidents. Overall the Sturt crowd was great considering how much they thumped us by.

I'm not a fan of the cheer squad concept. Over the years they have been havens for this kind of behaviour. It's one area of the game that really needs attention.

This is awesome, footy smart you haven't got a clue do you.

IF and only IF you were actually there and saw what happened today would you have a clue. There actually wasn't even a fight. It was a guy which had been to the previous games for about the last five weeks smash of his head. We'd all told security to watch him closely. He had NO part of the cheersquad WHAT SO EVER. He was a clinger.

To sit there and straight out say it was the cheersquad is stupid.

I agreed, he needed to be kicked out. If it were up to me he would have been kicked out from day one against the roosters this season, but of course we-slo didn't make that happen.

Maybe something should be looked at the fact it took weslo two bloody quarters to finally get him out the ground.

Okay these incidents aren't good and we all know each club has a small minority of supporters that drag the club down with their behaviour.

We suggest this matter is best dealt quietly with the Sturt Footy club if you think it is serious enough to warrant their attention.

OK fellas, this is getting shut down pretty quickly tonight.

We've all seen these threads before and they serve no purpose other than to fire up supporters of the club being questioned - and that's not what we are looking for on these boards.

If anyone has an issue with Sturt FC or it's supporters, please address the Sturt FC directly.

Any future discussions in other threads will not be tolerated, please don't try and start it up another way.
