Sturt did tackle better, but that doesn't mean there were times that some players didn't chase enough. No player should be 30 metres behind their direct opponent when the opposition has the ball. If you're happy with that then fair enough. I wouldn't have thought you would be happy though.

Havelberg got 16 touches from CHB didn't he? And don't you play a lot of games at HBO? Would have thought a structure/gameplan that helps a key forward would help. And if you read what I wrote I thought Perrie ran TOO much. On a small ground a bloke who can take advantage of a one on one advantage would be more important.

I was talking about the players who were the best in the league game, not the reserves. The players are in the reserves for a reason. Sure they can come in and do a job, but the improvement must come from the actual league side.

I said Deluca hurt us. But he's 204cm? Unless Earl Shaw was around he's at least 10cm taller than any dogs player who might have been around. I just felt he should have done more if he wants to be an AFL player where he won't have a 4 inch height advantage 95% of the day. I hope for Sturt's sake that Kurtze can come up and do a job that Deluca is doing. Of course league ruckmen tend to be a little better than reserves ruckmen.

Actually, I thought some of the shots for goal were tougher than they needed to be. I would have thought that Chambers getting 6 shots from directly in front would be better than 8 shots from the pocket.

And I do think there is plenty of time and room for improvement. I'm just interested to see whether it happens this season or not, because I thought last season Sturt were better half way through the year and not at the end. IMHO if Sturt address the issues I've mentioned they can get to the next level and win finals.

That there, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, is the defining arguement.

So Judge Dogwatcher what is the sentence of the accused?

The sentence must be the tag of underachiever if they do not win the premiership.

I've got no idea Cutter, but if SP provides that much insight, then it must be correct. ;)
