Totally agree Micky- I honestly think most people dont know that it is a 2pm kick off for the league. A truckload of people wandered up to the hill about 2/3 through the 1st quarter. After 1/4 time I reakon there were double the amount that were there at the start of the game.

Great day for footy, and as opposed to last week a good day to be at the footy!!

this is not a crack at them, Im concerned as a SANFL fan...

The Eagles have no supporters, sad but true. It's a joke how little fans they have.

Once again we WWT fans know about our lack of support so please move along we are tired of hearing about it.

You DHead NFC

As I said I wasnt having a crack at them....MickyJ you make a good point about the Eastern side of the ground, seem to be more heads out there than normal for a 3000 crowd and as I was on the Grandstand wing so could easily explain why I didnt hear much support...

i was on the eastern wing and there were a few WWT fans out there under the trees etc

it was a good crowd imho considering

a) glenelg lost last week playing crap footy

b) also the eagles lost last week as well, although got close to north on the scoreboard

No worries Dutchy .
What I'd like to know from the SANFL is why all grounds don't open all the same time .I know i have gone off in other years at the SACA not so here.
Some grounds you can enter from 10.45 (prospect last week )and some like yesterday from 11.
The funny thing i could see people sitting along the fence before the gates opened !!
But that doesnt stop fans from coming to a game and there are a fair few EAGLEs older fans who only go to woodville.

Is that why we had over 2000 members in the last 3 years or so. What is Norwood's membership director doing, probably not as much as ours who comes on this site and promotes the club as hard as he can. There is also an ad on radio.

Yep, mainly in the NW corner and on the outer wing. I actually thought there was quite a few of our fans there. Glenelg and Richmond are two grounds that we get a lot of support at when it comes to away grounds.

There were plenty of Eagles supporters at Glenelg yesterday, and the crowd of 3,387 was only 642 less than the attendance at Unley.

Was on the outer wing and plenty of eagles fans there. The reason you didn't hear them much was because they had nothing to cheer about. An insipid, characterless display of which we are not used to seeing. Would want a dramatic turn around this week! True, we were in the same spot in 2006, but the talent was a fair bit getter then too.
Since the premiership, the midfield has lost Skipworth, Cooper, Lomas, Vince permanently and cicca temporarily. A huge hole we haven't filled through recruiting.
Luck is where opportunity meets preparation

So the Glenelg fans have finally decided to come out of the woodwork and become arrogant after just one win...........typical.

Get off your bandwagon NFC. As Eagles supporters I'm sure I speak for all of us on this site we are sick and tired of reading posts with another dig at the Eagles and poor crowd numbers. Time to play another tune mate because this one is boring us to death. How about you spend your time worrying about that rabble you call a team down at Coopers. I look forward to smacking your pathetic mob in 2 weeks time.
