Round 1, 2004, Glenelg travel to Prospect Oval for our first game of the season. North have a new coach (Jarman) after finishing bottom the year before. Glenelg go into the match as favourites.
After a tight first half, North pull away in the second half and win comfortably. The North fans are ecstatic, they go on to make the finals and a new era is born.

Round 2, 2007, Glenelg travel to Unley Oval for our first game of the season. Sturt have a new coach (MacGowan) after finishing 8th the year before. Glenelg go into the match as favourites.
After a tight first half, Sturt pull away in the second half and win comfortably. The Sturt fans are ecstatic, they go on to make the finals and a new era is born.

and in further "ironing", both Sturt and South beat Port at Alberton the following week (and North beat Port at Alberton when they went there in 2004 too!)
