Thanks Chris .
But I think Joel Mackie is from the Ovens and Murray football league which appears to be tied up with the VCFL.I have no idea how close to NSW this is so I could be wrong .
But I like Mackie as a player from the little I have seen him play.

Edit my reply at least one club in that League is in NSW so you could be correct.

Tonight just before training Joe Pedler met with all the boys. Joe had met with club officials yesterday to confirm his retirement from league footy.

Tonight was quite emotional especially when Ron Fuller spoke to all about Joe's terrific qualities - not only as a player but as a true icon of our club, a winner of the best team man ward, and his great work with charities.

Joe will get to as many games as he can this year - he will be having a run with Mypolonga. He will also continue to assist with our players charity which he set up some years ago.

Joe is a great clubman - over 100 league games plus 50 or so reserves games and of course a premiership player.

Members - dont forget - get along to Members Night tomorrow - Thursday 29 March 6:00pm at the club - renew your membership or join up on the night.

Thanks for that, CD. Although I am a Doggies supporter, I second what you say about Joe. Have got to know him at St. Iggies this year and he is one heck of a top guy!

Not a problem, GWW. Hopefully now some will believe that he has retired from the Eagles.
Not sure how many games he will play at Mypolonga though, GWW. Saint Iggies has first call on all of our weekends.
