Sorry Wedgie

I'm calling the Gridiron SA Grand Final Saturday night at the Pines Hockey stadium, Gepps Cross

Its the unbeaten Eastside Razorbacks (20th GF in 23 seasons)
v Adelaide Eagles (1st ever GF)

Cir-kids & cheerleaders performing pre-game and half time.

Pre-game entertainment from 7.10, kickoff 7.30pm

For me I think it is calling GF #13 of the 23 in SA, always a big night.

(PS thanks for the opp to put a relevant plug for gridiron on the SANFL page

I definately agree with longer coverage after the game. Like previously mentioned, unless your back in the car 3 minutes after thr final siren, you don't get to hear much. All you catch is pretty much the last 2 minutes where they are giving the 3,2,1 votes, sometimes even missing that. By time you cheer your team off (being a doggies supporter, it was a fair bit last year), say goodbye to your mates and get back to the car, a good 15-20 minutes have passed. It is always good to hear scores from around the grounds and game analysis, then the best players and 3,2,1 votes. The other thing I really enjoyed last year was Grant Coffee, he was one of my favourite players as a kid and I love listening to his commentary. I actually ended up playing a couple of games with him in the amatuer league a couple of years ago with Golden Grove !! I enjoy the different players you get to guest commentate when there team has a bye. Keep up the good work Phil & team, just a bit more time with the after game / talkback segment.

Bring on the trial games, GO U DOGGIES !!

:D :D  :D :D

Agree about the "Smithfield clashclangers" and "PDK Highlights", but if RPH are covering North, then it's RPH for me that week. LifeFM is a more professional presentation, buy hey, any port in a storm

Wedgie wrote:Agree with most, more around the ground scores (especially helpful when you're a photographer trying to cover 3 games played at the same time and are doing a mad dash between grounds), after match talk back that goes till 6pm and no stupid nicknames for players like some on RPH do when trying to do Rex Hunt impressions.
I know 90% of SANFL players but have no idea what's going on half the time, hate to think how it would be for a person who doesn't follow the SANFL as passionately as we do as they'd have no idea what's going on. :?
I won't mention any commentators or radio stations in specific but lets just say Ive been very happy with LifeFMs calls.
