Everybody loves an underdog though, and when you go to a Nuetral game, you'll usually go for the team you hate least, or the underdog...which in effect I guess is bandwaggoning.... eg. In every grand final over the past few years, I've barracked for everyone that has played AGAINST Centrals

GOd help me if Centrals ever play Norwood in a GF though.. GO the UMPS!

I'm the same, which means I've really enjoyed the past couple of years. Perverse.

Rarely go to any games up here in Sydney - mainly because I hate the atmosphere at the AFL. As you all know, with a one-team town it's pretty much a one-way street. Boring. It's sadly missing the banter that flies thick and fast between opposition SANFL supporters on the terraces.

These days, for my local footy fix, I go to see the Newtown Jets at Henson Park in the Premier League...

A serious question why do both yourself and Wedgie enjoy years when the team is struggling is it the excitment of the unexpected wins that you love. Or the nerves of been the favourite and expectation to win that you hate.
I cant see how thats case but yeah im really interested in your opinions.

i also find it fairly strange that some get more satisfaction when their team sucks...from my earliest sturt memory, we sucked and it was weird when we won, there was all of a sudden a thing called pressure to perform and win. i am just thankful that I can support the best team in the word, the mighty Sturt Double Blues!!!! regardless of if they are winning or losing.
