Will be interesting to see who improves most in comparison to last seasons win/loss column out of South, North and West. Given Sturt, Norwood and the Bays will probably form the top 3, and the Eags and Dogs only sniffing around 4-5th, there might be a finals spot for one of them if they can hit the ground running and pick up early wins. At this point Port and more so the Crows, look like being weakened in the early rounds courtesy of full squad injuries.
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

I can see Nowrood and the Bays swapping roles this year. Norwood will be setting the pace from the first bounce. Glenelg will be average for the first half of the season but might come home stronger as the players adapt to league level and the Doc's game plan.

As for the interlopers: injuries now just means a more rapacious mid season draft. Piss 'em off to the VFL.

Not a permanent out but I’m sure will be of interest to Dogs and Power fans…

NO.1 pick contender Dougie Cochrane is set to miss the Marsh AFL National Under-18 Boys Championships after having knee surgery.

The highly talented utility has been battling knee tendinitis since the back end of last year and last week underwent surgery on his patella to correct the issue, which is expected to sideline him for around 12 weeks.
