Sue Dewing is undoubtably one of the best CEOs going around, greatly supported by a Board led by Jason Kilic.

North's Anzac guernsey, glad there's no poppies on it and good to see the traditional Anzac Day tribute with sprigs of rosemary.

Whilst Aussies do wear sprigs of rosemary on ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day, wreaths of poppies are traditionally placed at memorials & honour boards on ANZAC Day also.
Whilst my head tells me “surely no one is seeking the moral high ground here re commemorative ANZAC Day guernseys”, my gut tells me otherwise…

What is the shaded splodge in the middle of the Glenelg guernsey meant to be? Looks like the outline of a map, but it ain't Turkiye, so what is it?

(As for the poppies, I have always associated them with Flanders, not Gallipoli, but whatever)

Definitely not, stick with your head mate, North had poppies in their candy striped guernsey and I hated it and made mention at the time.
Poppies are a polarising symbol around the world and when I marched in Anzac Day parades they were nowhere to be seen but seem to be coming to prominence in the last couple of decades.
We always wore sprigs of rosemary.

Norwood are averaging 8 goals a game, no way would I place them that high.

Last five SANFL league flags have been won by the team with lowest Scores Against. Right now Norwood are 2 goals a game better than the 2nd best defensive team Sturt.

All the proper SANFL clubs have named their sides for this round already ,normally not known until Thursday .
If its because the AFL reserves sides are playing shouldnt have anything to do with it

Port Adelaide and Adelaide have progressed in talks with the AFL about joining a new national second-tier competition next season.

The league is under increasing pressure to bring the clubs into either the VFL or new national second-tier league for 2025 to help put all clubs on the same footing.

The Power, in particular, has said the club is at a disadvantage playing its seconds’ side in the SANFL.

This masthead revealed last year Port had led the push to split with the SANFL after 155 years in the South Australian league.

Clubs are highly supportive of the move with West Coast also expected to follow suit, leaving Fremantle as the only club which wants to stay in the WAFL.

Port and the Crows – who face off in a SANFL curtain raiser at Adelaide Oval ahead of Thursday night’s Showdown – have been in talks with the league about the split, and are keen to make it happen in time for next season.

The league is expected to ramp up talks with the SANFL about possible compensation as Port and Adelaide have a contract to remain in the SANFL in 2025.

But the AFL holds the upper hand as the SANFL relies on the league and the South Australian government for strong support, and are in talks with all clubs about the competition structure for next year as part of a competitive balance review.

The move is controversial among SANFL supporters but officials from the Power and Crows have openly said the clubs’ preference is to be part of a national second-tier league where the AFL clubs’ reserves sides will all play against each other.

The VFL is seen as superior to the SANFL, while the SANFL plays a last-touch out-of-bounds rule.

Port and the Crows who will make any excuse to justify their lack of success, remember in 2013 it was their players being spread amongst the league teams that was holding them back from premierships.

Imagine Port playing the VFL last week when they had 8 AFL listed players available, big cost to send them (and 14 top ups) interstate.

They are kidding themselves if they believe the VFL is stronger and better for their development.

It's a level playing field if they're all in the one comp. Everyone will have kids and top-ups.

AFL are considering a two conference VFL - Victoria split down the middle of an Eastern and Western conference to try and make this work.

Port playing away in Brisbane could see their Ressies playing in Perth

I’m sure all the Victorian AFL clubs are also happy at playing in two different states as well at various times in the season.

I’m sure all the Victorian based clubs are on board for this shag show - they could say nah F*** this sh!t! This ain’t gonna fly.

Time will be the judge
