That's a good thing and without knowing the workings of Centrals, I can say North has a "frosty" relationship with the SANFL in terms of making many independent decisions in the best interest of our club and not just what the SANFL wants or would like. I think the more other clubs can do the same when they become more financially stable, you will find that the clubs actually have the bulk say in how the SANFL is run overall in terms of our comp and not how it is now, where the SANFL appears in many instances to be an AFL "Yes" man![/quote]
Totally agree, I think the allocation received each year by the 9 SANFL clubs (430K 2006) is far below the return that would be reasonable to expect with the assets owned by the SANFL.
The investment made into Footy Park by the SANFL over the last few years to cater for the AFL clubs could have been better spent. I mean how may big screens do you need?
That investment alone on the big screen would have been money well injected into the country leagues or metro leagues.
BRPRB as a man of knowledege , I reckon the 9 SANFL Clubs still turn over more money per year than the two AFL clubs , is this right?
I know that WWTFC including the Eagles Club turned over about $7 mil last year
