Everyone else these days seems to bag us, cause we are going okay Now !
Maybee its just jealousy these days, thats all i can think of !
And for recruiting like they say, more the merrier !

Jealousy, lol, you haven't won the premiership yet my friend. Although if you don't with the players you have got there is something seriously wrong. Your players will have enough pressure on them this year as it is, be confident but not over confident.

I think he was alluding to the fact of jealousy as a whole (finances, being a place where playes want to come, being competitive on the ball park, club on the way up not down, etc), not because we're going to win the premiership, we're not even close to being favourite at this stage of the game.
Some people enjoyed kicking us when were uncompetitive on the park and almost bankrupt and they don't like it now.

I think people should be asking that of clubs who didn't win 3 premierships last year in junior grades.

In regard to North, they currently have 14 players still eligible for underage footy training with the seniors. Keep an eye out for Shane Edwards (son of Greg), looks an absolute gun. So far we have 3 more spots available to a junior in the league/ressies than last year due to net ins and outs.

1 It's obviously not just me who would like to see North waste its money this year.

2 When West won several junior flags and made a Grand Final, I was told by the North supporters it meant nothing if you didn't win the flag.

3 I saw Shane Edwards play in the Under 19's Grand Final last year. I agree, he looks the goods.

It depends what you're talking about redandblack, if you're talking about results only, some do argue that its only league premierships that count and that junior premierships are only a small stepping stone towards that. I personally would disagree with that to a degree.

However in this thread the comment re junior premierships was made in direct implication that North don't care about their juniors, in the context of that statment junior flags is very relevent and important. You can't win all those flags with teams you don't care about.

Wedgie im not saying your juniors arnt any good. The fact that they brought home 3 priemerships is a credit to the guys who played in those teams. You have a very good set of juniors with some fine players. But what I was saying to your good friend RRTW after his comment about recuritning "the more the merrier" i think it was. I was taking a swipe at the fact that it sounds like he dosnt give a rats ass about junior development at North. Just as long as you get recuirts.

Wedgie you would make a excellent pollitician. I said "What about juniors? Dont need them?"

And you said "I think people should be asking that of clubs who didn't win 3 premierships last year in junior grades."

Not answering my question, but thats a good thing since I asked RoostersRuleTheWorld the damn question.

Yeah, Stany, i think gettiing 28 year old reruits and having heaps of them is proberly
better than having good Juniors !
Cause if they are any good, there only gonna get snapped up straight away to the AFL
and there gone , like we see every year !
At least having a experienced side with late 20s type players, their experienced hardend
and at least you now your not going to bloody loose them !
