an absolute crock of shite !!!!!!!!!

Paxman left to get more league oppurtunites. Port Adelaide fans rewriting history to suit themselves again.

Remember his one and only reserves game. Stood with the faithful after the game in his club shirt and tie asking us how good he looked.

1996 Tom Gilligan 13 National Adelaide North

IIRC Gilligan got called up to the Crows pretty early in the season due to injuries then when he was sent back to North he couldn't get a gig as league ruckman (due to Rosenboom and Parker). He was named in the reserves he then went to Port Magpies (where he also struggled) and I think he was back in the VFL by the end of the year.

Thanks All

I solved all the riddles of SANFL players from SA clubs drafted from 1986-2005. I can now let people know who drafted who and in what sort of draft; I can let people know what selection players went and which clubs have contributed most to any afl club or most players in total from 1986 to present day. I do not count sanfl players who are drafted from afl club to afl club unless they came back to the sanfl inbetween if that makes any sense!

Re SANFL MINI DRAFT

It turns out that from 1992-1995 the SANFL minidraft was in reverse order from where clubs finished the year on the sanfl ladder.

THEN in 1996 the reverse order was St, Ea, Gl, So, Wa, Na, (ND CD PA).... The draft in the following years continued from where it finsihed the previous year and the reverse order was scrapped. Eventually the reverse order was reintated for thr 2000 playing season (1999/2000 SANFL mini-draft) and this is the way it is run today.

It took some fun working it all out though!

Thanks for everyones contributions
