Re: AFL Round 23

Back to the Keays "goal" then.

Hasn't been enough outrage on this IMO

I see they even wheeled out KG for his thoughts. Yeah **** me, we haven't shown SA to be enough of a bunch of hill Billy dregos in the last few days so we wheel out old KG to make sure it's done right.

Surprised he didn't have a kick a Vic shirt on.

Re: AFL Finals Week 1

So Brisbane beat Port by a combined total of 98 points across the 2 games yesterday, it’s not 119 points, but it is 98, which relates to the last time the crows won a VHS Premiership - as a crows fan, does it count as trolling if I’m trolling my own club ?

Re: AFL Finals Week 2

Normally with Port it's there backline that doesn't hold.uo but tonight Port were killed in the clearances.

Fair bit of work there. You still need a fit Wines in the middle, definitely need another blue chip midfielder in there. JHF is probably thr one if he can find that consistency. I thought he was actually ok tonight.

Down back. Hogan was the issue but that is likely to be a symptom of the midfield issue. Still next year looks like a chance to blood some younger defenders.

With the GWS, Congilio, Green, Kelly and Whitfield and the run through the midfield. The Ferrari was back and burning!

Re: Brownlow 23 - who wins it

Not sure it was the right result, but glad I had a saver on Neale not long before the count started. JHF 3 votes for a 13 disposal 0 goal game with only 7 effective disposals another bizarre one. The Jeremy Cameron 6 goal and 25 touches effort also an odd one. Only got him 1 vote, and he was easily the best on that night.

Langer, bloody hell.

I don't mind Blewie and Ponting. Ponting at least talks about the game and gives his insights.

Massively let off the hook in that first session.

Iyers was dropped twice.

Now at 6/143 India probably have enough runs. Can't see the Safers doing well on that deck.

Re: Australian International Summer 2023/24

We'll struggle to make 350,
can't wait for us to bowl!

Our bowlers wont spray 30% of their deliveries, 300 is plenty imo

Not dropping most catches helps too. We drop our fair share. That's for sure.

However, Pakistan have bowled well this morning.

As I type this, Rizwan hangs onto a ripper. It's amazing what happens when you hold your catches.

Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's

South Africa quicks were very good. Nandre Burger looked alright in his first test.

The South Africans bowlers have always been solid. With Rabada, Jansen, Notre when there as well, they are pretty solid but that batting is a huge issue.

Pitch was as expected made for the spinners.

England looked good when playing shots and going Bazball. When they sit and prod and try and work the ball they look in trouble. Image

Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's

Really exciting days play. England looked ok when attacking and playing shots but once they went into there shells, the Indian spinners had them. Still they got to 246.

India looked comfortable out there. Rohits brain fade the only issue. Honestly, no idea what he was thinking, they have Jaiswal down the other end torching the crap that England were dishing up, Rohit just had to support him. Very poor in my opinion from there captain.

Bazball might not be getting thr results at the moment, but my word it's bloody entertaining.

Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's

Yeah they could. Pope has been superb out there and batting last on this pitch will be difficult.

However in saying that the pitch has seems to 'settle' a bit and didn't look like the mine field it was early for England.

In saying that Englanf have been very positive in there approach which has helped.

The issue is, besides Root I'm not sure their spinners are good enough to bowl India out.

Again in saying that, we will find out soo. If that is the case or not though.

Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's

Interesting start to NZ vs SA.

After a tricky start, NZ have settled and seem in control. However the Saffies have bowled well.

2/125 at tea. Only 52 overs bowled though.

Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's

As I said earlier, there is a place for attacking cricket in India and that can work. Obviously the Indian batsmen belted them off the pitch, chasing 550+ doesn't help.

However what I struggle with from the English players are the likes of Robinson and Duckett who mouth off with all this arrogance.

Do they believe what they are saying?
Is it part of Bazball to come across as over confident.

Re: AFL 2024

Port have Rozee, Butters, JHF . So definitely Port for mine but I have the Crows as most likely to make the eight out of the teams that didn't last year.
If they play Ollie Wines in his best spot, they're almost looking like the early 2000's Brisbane midfield of Voss, Black, Akermanis & Lappin Lol.

Re: AFL 2024 Ladder predictions

Stan attempt no.2 - all teams included.

Collingwood
Carlton
Brisbane
Adelaide - As before, should make the top4.
‐-----------
GWS - Wouldn't be surprised if they pushed into the top 4
Melbourne
Sydney
Gold Coast
=========
Geelong
St. Kilda
WB
Freo
Richmond
North - Would have to improve
----------
Port - Reckon they sink this year
Essendon
Hawthorn
West Coast

For someone who 'seems' to know a little bit about football, your hate for Port is quite humorous. Ya damn wharfie scum.

Re: AFL 2024

It's a really odd one, I haven't heard the term "cocksucker" yelled out in public for some time, seems very odd and from another time to break that one out.

However the reaction about how offensive this is seems a little much. It plays I to this offensive issue that someone is always offended.

I know that as a society we have moved on from this sort of behaviour, however seems the massive offense is indicative of our wider society where you are walking a tight rope in order not to offend any groups.
