Doing job interviews.
I think the best way to interview someone ( once due diligence is done with CV and referees ) is in a very casual environment.
During the day over a coffee in a nice spot or over a beer in the early evening . Formal interviews, obviously depending on the position, can often be too nerve racking for the potential employee. Let's be honest, rarely is the actual job as nerve racking as the first 5 minutes of an interview.
Informal interviews in the early stages, I think, work very well. Meeting on neutral ground can also be beneficial.
Sorry Booney, but I wouldn't work for a company that interviewed over beers. Wouldn't get the job when I started skulling.
