Can not see the fit at Norwood and at $2,500 a game no way ! Norwood have their eye on 5 players and confident of signing the preferred two. Bartlett would be one of those two. Can not see Glenelg or Eagles getting him under the salary cap at this late stage. West ? South ? Crows ?
I believe the Eagles will not be chasing a ruckman. The ruck/forward (Fraser Thurlow) they bought down from Queensland midway through the season was rookie listed by Essendon. Will go with Borholm, Heinjus and Carl Muller.
It will be interesting to see how we go then given we've been spoilt for options in the past 20 years.
Thinking back we've have had Parry, Lindsay, Wiggins, Nieman, Biglands, Negri at various stages. They were all amongst the top ruckman in the competition at their time.
I've never seen Muller play so not sure whether he has any potential.
I think South Adelaide will now probably have the best ruck pairing going round with Brooksby and Bass. Baulderstone/Dawe/Clarke is fairly handy
Ok, I will play devil's advocate here. Is anyone taking the positive view that this coming season will be the first time Glenelg, Central, North, West, South, Sturt, Eagles, and Norwood will play each other without AFL listed players since 1991? It is club versus club back to its purest form. Be kind.
Going to be hard for Sturt to win this, we always struggle to overcome the flooding, dour football of Norwood and West. We have some players that are woefully out of form and some that just don't seem interested in doing the hard yards.
Dour footy but we have a higher percentage?? We're going to smash Strut!!
Dont like the out of bounds rule, the ball isn't round, you could kick a ball 15m inside the line towards a team mate but it lands just short bounces 90 degrees and out of play and a free kick.
Just be tougher on the deliberate out of bounds, might get a bit frustrating but would be better IMO
