It's an extra round of footy that replaces a useless pre-season practice match. I cannot understand the hurt people have over this. Crowies and Porties will still be able to go, and supporters of other clubs get a free hit without having to pay for flights and accomm to see their team play.
Absolutely. Our household is half North half West Coast. Trips to Perth are bloody expensive & it’s rare both teams play in Melbourne the same round. I’ve got schoolmates now living in Victoria that follow North, Geelong, Collingwood, Carlton, Adelaide, Port who will all bring their families over that weekend. Can’t wait.

Panic sets in, check bank account and one payment has gone through. Quickly move all money to another account. Online resolution centre only goes so far until I hit a wall with eBay. Wait until PayPal call centre opens at 7:30, get straight through - shock horror! Unauthorised payments case lodged, has to be reviewed by a different section, should hopefully have a decision & refund within 10 days.
Receive email at 8:50am from PayPal, 3 x payments refunded to PayPal account, 1 x payment refunded to bank account.

South Lakes yesterday, haven't played there for 20 odd years, really enjoyed it - fairways perfect, greens a bit slow but pretty good and the rough was just the right length. Ended up parring 4 of the 1st 5 holes and turned on 41 after 9, back 9 was a 44 but really only played the par 3's poorly, with double bogeys on both of them. Overall a 85 is a score I haven't seen on my card for a number of years, so pretty happy, even my chipping is improving!

Only knock on the course would be having only 2 par 5's, but for $40 a round (esp as most clubs jack up the price at this time of year) Im not sure there is much better value going around

i always enjoyed it down there. nice and flat so fat fuggers like me find it easier :lol:
