Re: Things that give you the sh1ts

Compulsory voting.

Drove 45 seconds to polling both...…lined up for 15 seconds....voting took another 30 seconds, grabbed the free snag on offer on the way out.
That's not my issue,
my issue is forcing thousands of people to make a HUGE decision but they don't know nor care how to vote/why they're voting.
To top it off, the "side" that got the most votes lost!
Very confusing!
The beauty of the system is that while it is compulsory to turn up to vote, the choice to cover your ballot slip completely with crude drawings of dicks is entirely your choice. Vote 1 Cock and Balls!

Re: Pure Ladder 2022

The Roosters go on their merry way. After this week's bye they'll play the Redlegs at home, and a win will see them start the season with a victory over every team. Conversely the Bloods get two chances to avoid going zip-7, starting with the Panthers this week.

Can’t argue with that. We didn’t perform like we wanted to as I mentioned on here that day. Never hidden from it.

But Imagine losing to that side in the finals with the best young kid in the country.

Round 9 complete, and now all the dinkm teams have played each other once. The Roosters have put all other teams to the sword, while the Bloods are yet to pop their cherry. In fact, the Pure Ladder (tm) exhibits perfect equilibrium: Each team has beaten every team below it, and lost to every team above it. In this sense, West is doing just as well as North! 8)

Only one game this week. Interesting that seven broadcast it, instead of the eastern-league game on at the same time, or the inconsequential scratch match at Richmond. Wonders will never cease.

Absolute different laws for the LPRs!

Two free kicks in the back and holding the ball yeah Nah it’s the Eagles…
HTB interpretation is comically one sided.
Perhaps they think this is Woody oval?

One for spelly - have the Bays ever held the Eagles scoreless in a quarter?

Wedgie - breeze strong, definitely favouring southern end, Bays will have it in the third.

Re: Round 16 Dogs vs Power Reserves

If it was like the old system the PAPs would have whinged that one or two of those players were not getting league exposure and/or being played out of position, and insisted that they be transferred mid-season to another SANFL club ... then the Magpies would have put up their hands to be the receipient. The ol' "reserves side by stealth" manoeuvre.

Re: Round 16 Dogs vs Power Reserves

I agree the integrity of the league is completely comprised but don't think Port have a performance 'benefit' given the fact neither AFL club has won a flag in how many seasons.
By the end of 2013 Port was arguably the worst performed team in the SANFL. Had the longest finals appearance drought and longest finals win drought, IIRC.

After 2014 the team wearing the former Magpies guernsey made 3 of the next 6 Grand Finals, being within 6 points of the premiership cup in 2 of those matches.

Coincidence?

North now effectively 2 games clear on top (given percentage differences) with 2 rounds to go. Better prompt the fat chick to start practicing her arias, she'll be in full voice next week when the Roosters claim their maiden Pure Minor Premiership (tm). Re: Things that you rate!

Big day in the garden yesterday. Lawns needed a mow and the nature strip was a mess, enough sunshine to dry that all out and mowed down. The winter weeds had taken over the garden beds so they either got pulled up or hit with some glyphosate.

Then I hit the veggie patch, it was full of weeds so that got cleaned up some Seasol ( my brother is the state rep - very handy ) soil wetter and bio char got turned through ready for planting up in the next few weeks. Very productive day on the acreage.
I rate port fans starting the spring gardening well before September. ;)

Our stupid out dated trading hours for retail stores on public holidays.
No wonder the other States take the piss out of us.

I understand why we still have them but it’s time for change, surely!

BREAKING: New shop trading laws pass #saparli.
- Retailers will be able to open from 9am instead of 11 on Sundays.
- Trade until midnight in the 3 days before Christmas.
- Boxing day shopping in suburbs.
- Likely to come into effect from Sunday 6 Nov.

Still f*cked for your chops on public holidays amber_fluid :D
