Wayne Slattery at South

Probably didn't fit in at South because he had a premiership medal.

Re: R12 Port v Glenelg

Looking forward to watching today on SANFLnow. Not sure who will commentate but hopefully they’ve read the Law book this week so they understand why certain decision are made and they don’t go off half c0cked like last week.

A tip watch the umpires they will help you commentate more accurately.

Some awesome moves by Scott that got us home.
And supporter of some other clubs get frustrated because we always compete but you've got to remember we just keep bringing in players like Kelly aka Cameron, Stewart, Stengle, etc for no cost but being smart.
Love this club, everyone should follow us.

Re: Port Adelaide 2022

Last touch rule is one of the best rules of all time.
Love it.
AFL would be mad to ignore it. Makes things so much clearer, anything that gives the umpires less discretion makes the game more consistent and it's better to watch too.
I'd go one step further too and just make it like other sports so it's last touch no matter what part of the body it comes off, not just kicks and handpasses.

Another good friend and groggy, Woolfy passed away today after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Woolfy was the driving force and organiser behind recent years banners.
A great guy who was a single dad of 4 kids, 3 of them quite young.
2020 can go and get ******.
:(
And just when you think things couldn't get any worse for a family his son passed away over night from a seizure. :(

Re: Round 17

I watched the whole last quarter and still can't believe it! My dog freaked out as I cheered dlouder than I did for Geelong on Thursday night, what a win by the Suns, they're a great team to watch, love them!

Stewie will have an extra pie floater of 2 tonight ;)
I never gave them a chance and they never looked like winning but zi kept watching the game as my son loves the suns.
That was awesome, one of the most enjoyable games all year, I enjoyed that more than Thursday night!

Yeah I can now too, noone in the entire pub here had ever heard of him as well.

A pub without footy...strange set up
Most people at this pub haven't even heard of anyone outside of SA let alone a mediocre St Kilda player.
Not strange, quite the norm for pubs with older people in SA, encounter it all the time.

Re: Things that you don't understand

Soccer fans. WTF (probably could post this in that thread) is wrong with them that they feel the need to destroy the seats at the MCG in a "friendly"

My kids went and without realising ended up in the Man U supporters group...fair to say they acted like absolute c..ts apparently
We used to go to the Rugby 7's in Adelaide every year. One year we ended up in with the Kenyan supporters. A nicer fun bunch of supporters you'll be hard pressed to find. Singing hakuna matata & other songs all day except when the team was playing.
Agreed with that, I even bought a Kenya top and was singing and dancing with them!

Don't have a problem with Cumberland at the end, it was the idiot Balta that took more than 30 seconds on their previous shot at goal and didn't score because he couldn't count to 30 that should be hanging his head in shame. WADH!

Danger game for the blues. We've never won here!!!! Average losing margin of 12 goals and Adelaide haven't been playing that badly and we haven't been playing that well.

I'm going, hoping to see history with our first win at AO.

Go blues.
Carlton have only played the Crows once at AO, in 2018. Previous away game against the Crows was Rd 4 2010 at AAMI!

Prang on Port Rd with traffic down to one lane near the Ent Centre.
Any chance you pricks could have a prang when I'm not in a bus going to the pub on a Friday arvo!
hop off and walk?
Could of if I was going to the Hope Inn but it was a bit far to walk to the Halfway.
Once the bus got past Chief St it was all smooth sailing anyway.
Need to put that bloody tram all the way to Port Adelaide.
What, like the train which runs parallel with Port rd?
Too far away, they should get rid of it

Re: Port Adelaide 2022

OK, try this.
A new servo chain wants BP's colours (OTR colours now) green and yellow, would that be allowed?

A new chocolate manufacturer wants to use cadburys colours would that happen?

Its about protecting your brand and making it easily identified.

Wear it for heritage round once a year, and have that round as a showdown.
Ports wear the wharfie jumper and the crows the state jumper or a glenelg jumper ;)

Makes you wonder how Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal have survived all these years then, doesn't it?

Then again Everton, Chelsea and Leicester have done it.

Or Aston Villa and Burnley, they've also bucked the trend.

Excuse me!!!!!

How the hell did you leave west ham out of that comparison
And more importantly a swear filter's worse nightmare in S C U N T H O R P E United FC. ;)

Anyone listen to Triple M this morning, and did Roo say anything?
Apparently there's a kick over the Torrens comp coming up.

I've lost respect for Sloane and luckily I had none for Tex anyway but when they made their statements about the camp they surely knew how others were treated and what happened. Opposite of what leaders should do but obviously we're more keen on their futures than looking after their mates.
