Butch, cant believe we managed to get him, when i heard the dogs were interested i thought it must have been the western bulldogs.

Will be surprised if the beast kicks less than 100 goals this season.

If Centrals premiership odds havent come into $1.01 jump on toot toot

Welcome Butch!
If he kicks 100 goals must be taking a lot of marks in the forward 50 and having 700 shots st goal!

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts

Here goes...

Why should there be penalty rates on weekends? Do weekend staff do twice the amount of work than weekday people? I keep hearing from people that they won't work weekends now, (don't get me started on that, blight on our society to want everything gifted to them) with high unemployment the next person in line gets the job. People should not take their jobs for granted, too many younger people do.

Times have changed, shops don't close 12:30 on Saturdays and reopen at 9am on Mondays. The world has evolved into a 24 hour business with the internet so people have to adapt as businesses do. To think that just because you own a business you must be making a fortune or if not the business must be run poorly is a common misconception among people. The amount of money that needs to be paid to different government agencies, utilities, councils, rent etc is staggering even before wages need to be paid.

Do I think this will create new jobs in the short term, no. Long term maybe as it helps business people to have higher confidence and therefore may lead them to reinvest into something else to create more jobs.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts

To think that just because you own a business you must be making a fortune or if not the business must be run poorly is a common misconception among people.

And either way, should be irrelevant in any debates/discussion.

Agreed

People forget that household budgets on many families are tight so if they can squeeze a few extra weeks out of a pair of shoes, a frypan or whatever they will. In good times that doesn't happen, liberal spending is more prevalent

Please MT don't give me business was the one who turned us into a 24-7 operation.

Simple MT, people don't like being paid the same rate as those who work during the week don't take the job. Others will. Many people who do work weekends are Uni students who are studying during the week, why is that a business owners problem? Their choice to go to Uni

I work during the week, I miss out on a fair bit of stuff that my kids do, sport, school, functions but I don't get paid double time for that.
