Cleaned the gutters between the house and the pergola on Saturday morning, haven't done it for 3 years and the pergola has been getting flooded with everything more than a drizzle, its copped a good test over the last 48 hours and the pergola is bone dry :D even the sore muscles for getting on/off the roof are nearly repaired.

Mrs Jimmy was a tad sore yesterday as well

Re: PAFC 2024

Still a huge commitment on potential, if clubs are going to be pushed into a corner on these type of deals then the freedom to trade without consent surely isn't far away. If not they need to make 5 years the maximum contract, 5 years is more than fair for the stars of the comp and gives the clubs some room to move if things don't go as planned.
If North offered/signed Sheezel 8 years you’d be rapt.

My default areas are massage vouchers, books (loves to read), handbag (cant go wrong).

Re: SANFL 2024

I think you missed a couple of 0’s on West.

More games into the kids, with no recruiting we will barely have to pay any money out. Adam is going to be a great coach but needs some cattle.

Trying to look for some positives.

Unfortunately, there are no positives for Westies.
5 spoons in a row and odds on to make that 6!

The Club is done, in my opinion.

It’s not good ATM but slinging crap on them doesn’t help. There are many good people there trying their best in a difficult situation. It will turn.

If West supporters want to keep slinging crap, I say go and support someone else.

They improved a lot last year, another preseason into these kids and I think they will improve again.

Jumped on board halfway through 2008. Just getting in before someone calls me a bandwagoner. In fact that year lions went 0-16. I am whatever a bandwagoner is
I know how you feel being a Chiefs fan, I have been supporting them for 30 years. I have a few of their tops I wear and the number of people that say I’m a bandwagoner is nuts. Tops I wear you can’t buy here, I get them directly from the Chiefs store.

Like the Lions coachas he wears his heart on this sleeve, Sam La Porta and Amon Ra-St Brown although him not getting a TD today cost me two SGM.

Re: SANFL 2024

I do get all that and we really have been ordinary on and off the field for at least the past two decades so get people’s frustration. So many administrators have been in and out of the club in the past 20 years, who/what’s to blame?

I have no doubt Adam is the man to take us forward. Recruiting quality must be very difficult.

Makes the good times worth so much (2015 premiership).

Re: Things that make you sad.

Did you take out the $7000 per year to run a car?

Drive a shit box that only requires having 3rd party insurance.
Won’t cost half that per year.
Catch a bus or walk when you can.

Dont need a flashy car either at that age.

$80 per week fuel - $4160
$700 rego
$600 service

$5460 with no insurance based on no repayments at all.

$80 pw for fuel
Just doing my tax
Fuel was $608 and I use the 98. Maybe its because I watch the cycle & fill up at the bottom instead of when I need to
I spent $4,120 for my car last FY
Owned outright so no interest

$80 a week equates to about 70-80 kms a day, that’s a lot of driving

Define struggle?
I’m sure it’s a hell of a lot different now to what we had versus our parents.

I think it's impossible to compare.

My mum raised me 90% of the time. And i know it was bloody tough for her. But saying that, i know on my wage now it's bloody hard for me...

My mum passed away when I was young, my dad worked his guts out for 6 kids to live.

It taught us 6 kids that nothing comes easy and you need to work and save for it.

Absolutely no issue with that LM as everyone is different and want different things in life.

But then kids can’t wonder why they don’t have a house deposit as they’ve spent $15-$20k on an overseas holiday. Most people can’t have both.

Re: Horse Racing Tips & Discussion

Stony Creek R8 #10 Peppino. Track and trip it’s 3 starts for 3 wins. Teo Nugent nearly had him winning over 1700m two runs back, was a solid effort from the back in a tougher Pakenham hitout last run and is primed to get the choccies today. Getting $11-$12 now. Don’t see that lasting. Should be $4-$5 in my opinion.

Now suddenly he is out of the ODI squad for the series against WI with an injury.
