Norwood/Sturt fans. What are you expecting?

Postby MST » Fri Mar 30, 2007 2:01 pm

What are both sets of fans hoping to get out of tonight's final trial match?

From a Sturt point of view, I understand we will be resting some key players such as Nelson, Feast, Whiteman and possibly Sheedy. This will obviously give the likes of DeLuca, Eckermann and O'Keefe a chance to find some form for Round one.

Personally I am hoping to see the boys demonstrate better use of the footy when they get their hands on it, something that was good against the Eagles but fell away last week against South. Delivery into the forwards is another thing I will be keen to observe.

Legs fans? (CP, Manny, REB etc)

To be honest MST, all I'm hoping for is an injury free night ... With our first game 6 days away and a couple of losses already to our first choice lineup (Hill, Campbell, Pfeiffer) it would make life even more difficult, for what is already a tough first round assignment against the Magpies.

Best result tonight would be to see some good performances from the fringe/understudy youngsters.

Coopers Stadium is a great place for a Pale Ale too, but that's a highlight that goes without saying! :D

Norwood Sturt fans what do you expect?

Postby sturtpeter » Sat Mar 31, 2007 5:15 am

The Oval is a sham when it comes to hosting acceptable SANFL under lights.

The Norwood people are great but their lack of insight and knowledge is evident by their total disrespect for the public who bother to attend a game which carried absolutely no significance to what is going to occur over the next 6 months.

Rick is a smart operator and we have an astute Coaching Panel to assist him.

No Fish Burgers. No BBQ and an atmosphere which was about as inspiring as watching Keith Michell and Co perform in the Festival theatre many years ago :( :( :(

Norwood Sturt Fans What do you expect?

Postby sturtpeter » Sat Mar 31, 2007 5:20 am

I found the most inspiring aspect of a dull game Lower's intimidation of Chambo during the First Quarter.

How Chambo kept his cool is beyond me but at least Rick rested him in the last Quarter and expect him to continue his amazing performances at Broadspectrum on Easter Saturday

Better lights at Norwood, the lights at Thebby are better and that's with half of them on. :)

Having said that, Sturt will finish higher than glenelg this season.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.
