Good news, let's get those injuries out the way early and focus on the season proper!
Nice to get a win, but who wasn't playing? Just to get an idea of the potential strength of each side. I know even with a full strength side the coaches tend experiment anyway, so trials are seriously terrible form indicators, but in the context of what is happening at Unley right now, and the last game the Eagles played last year, Sturt definitely would have attatched a lot more meaning to winning this one. Hence the Blues had a lot more to lose, nice to get over the first hurdle.

Highly unlikely. It was our first trial game and we fielded a half strength side at best. Far from a premiership hangover. Good hit out. the boys will be better for the run and can expect better efforts over the next couple of weeks. Taking nothing away from the blues they played much better than we did but premierships are not win in march but you would have been thinking they were the way a group of sturt supporters were carrying on. Good luck sturt you will improve I'm not sure by how far though.
