A little scratchy early, but looking good for a really big score.

Harmlessons first ball was a grat way to start the series.

Harmison bowls first ball straight to Flintoff at second slip!

Langer playing his shots early.

Harmison off after 2 overs for 24

Anderson comes on and 4,3,3 off his first.

0/37 after 5 and a bit overs.

Bill Lawry just said "Ricky Hayden won the toss and appears to have got it right"

Well Bill,at least he got it right.

Sounds like old age is creeping up on Bill!!! Still one of my favourites though.

Australia off to a flying (albeit very scratchy) start.

Looking forward to Freddy Flintoff coming on to bowl. If theres a more overrated player in world cricket, I haven't seen them.

Andrew Flintoff.
Tests ODIs
Matches 62 105
Runs scored 3127 2703
Batting average 32.91 33.37
100s/50s 5/22 3/15
Top score 167 123
Balls bowled 11740 3882
Wickets 186 110
Bowling average 31.32 26.06
5 wickets in innings 2 -
Best bowling 5/58 4/14

So in both forms of the game, averages over 30 with the bat,and basically under 30 with the ball. Not sure he is over rated,to boast all those numbers is fairly impressive.I can see your point though.

Overall, his record is pretty good, but its mainly one or two really good performances, then periods of nothing. He's too inconsistant.

2 very poor decisions, makes me think the draw is a chance now, especially when I see there being only 2 slips and a gully after 10 overs

Hayden gone.

1/71

Langer 50*
Ponting 0*

If England want to curb Ponting's influence, they need to attack him early, which is when he is most vunerable. Tends to wander after a shot.
