yeah i see your point, broaden the scope

but how many people involved in saafl on here actually go through all the other categories, i rarely once a year might look at threads in that 'other leagues" list

having the thread there might assist all clubs in all of south australia, but IMO it will get bugger all reach (views) or interest compared to if it was inhouse here with us

if an external club wants to play or query an saafl club about a trial game, theyd come to the SAAFL forum wouldnt they?

Yeah but they might not be scoping out a SAAFL club specifically - they might be looking for anyone to play. - saves time having to look through all the divs in our forum and then looking in 10 different threads in the country forum.

It's about convenience. especially when clubs pull out and are looking for replacements at short notice.

There is method in my madness - trust me.

If you're a SAAFL club and you specifically want another SAAFL club in a specific div, then post in that div - just don't flood 3 different threads with the same post when you can do it in one.

yeah i understand completely your representing south australia on this theory and not just the saafl

but consider the number of people actually look through the Other Leagues thread, and also consider the likeliness of an external club wanting to play an saafl club. might happen less than 5 times

to me we are a community of 64 clubs here, with a huge likeliness of wanting to play each other only, lets keep this correspondence within our own scope, where all of our own curiosities will absolutely see the thread instead just a few of us who might wander out of our own scope to have a look

Mitty Parks traditionally play a club or two from the SFL each year, I think Angle Vale and other northerners do the same with their adjoining leagues.

I made Stevo (ok, I suggested nicely) to play a country club last year - we went out to Meningie and it was such a breath of fresh air.(literally!)

The last time I asked for a beer at Mitchell park the barman gave me a glass of cola cordial with 2 teaspoons of metho in it complimented with a slice of bread dunked in the cup to give the beer a touch of yeast

Now I don't mind a club selling its home brew to cut costs but jesus the cocktail they're serving down there at the den no wonder u blokes have a hard time finding players

Except when clubs from the same comp are watching and steal our ruckman for $600 a game right before the start of the season AND then come back for our centre half back at the end of the season for $850...

clg played edwardstown and nairne bremer last year in trials and it was a refreshing change from the same old saafl teams..
