Mad Monday

Postby Booney » Tue Sep 02, 2014 9:13 am

1 - Why the need to dress up in stupid outfits?

2 - Why pick something so stupid?

3 - Can't you just get pissed with your mates and go on a two day bender?

4 - Same question asked a few times this year, do the media think we want the Mad Monday highlights/low lights or do we actually want to see them? ( We - the public )

Yep I don't get the dress up thing either.... much rather them just get on the gas away from the public eye and enjoy a couple of days before team mates move on to other things

Some clubs do it quite well....
others should receive a ban from outfits

the dress up thing doesn't bother me,
but the choice of outfits obviously doesn, not the smartest move by the demons guys

as long as the guys aren't hurting or offending anyone I say let them unwind and do whatever they would like to.

its a fairly long season under the spot light, so a few froffies and dressing like a dickhead is fine if that's what they want to do.

1) don't you?

2) they're footballers, thinking isn't generally required

3) that happens too

4) Yes, beats reporting on Syria, Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Ukraine and Russia

Haha come on, that is pretty funny.

Dudes dressing up and acting like idiots has happened since the dawn of time. We probably get more exposure to it in the social media age, but to paint this generation as being different to any other is silly

Footballers have so many more avenues to show us their idiocy these days. But they are not bigger idiots than any point in the past.

Point me to a picture of any 1980's footballers dressed up as sheila's on their Mad Monday and I'll dips me lid......and, I couldn't care less what they do, I just don't understand it. Especially considering they know the type of attention it will grab, it might cost someone a spot on an AFL list one day. Potentially.

I've been on plenty of footy and cricket muck ups, never felt the urge to don fishnets to make my day more enjoyable.

Probably right mate, same stupidity relevant to acceptable levels of the given generation. But FFS, these lads put themselves in the way of strife. :?

Mad Monday is the best Monday of the year!!! Have no issue with the dees antics, think it's piss funny!

You work bloody hard to enjoy that day! And these guys no real opportunity for majority of the year. They deserve this!!

Some of my best memories in football revolve around this day... Watching a mate chase a bloke who was on a bike whip my mate wore a teddy suit, was bloody hilarious!

Relax people
