150,000 if u ask Kochy

And if I were to ask whufc ?

It is a serious question, as there are significant costs when opening up the oval.

You mean those costs that are often ignored when AFL clubs whinge about dodgy stadium deals?

The clubs I dont think have an issue with the core costs... once they stabilized. .. given they have to pay them I'm sure they are well aware... the profits on the other hand.

But my question stands... given its been quoted as costing about 100k to open it... is an sanfl crowd going to break even. If not it doesnt make sense.

I think the idea is great, but it would need to be a huge success if the figure you've stated is accurate. Maybe as someone has already mentioned, only open lower decks like they did on ANZAC Day to reduce that cost.

Yep plenty of ways to reduce costs and only cater for the expected crowds.

Perhaps some tarps could be stretched over the empty seats in order to concentrate the crowd in designated areas. Advertising space could be sold on the tarps....

After a couple of double header finals games pulling 12,000 plus.
What would the crowd number be in peoples opinions if the season did start with 4 games on one day?

You would get 20,000 easy.

Could get more with proper promotion on an AFL free weekend. I'd be happy to cut ticket price or make it free for all club members just to boost numbers and expose the product.
