Round 11 Confabulation

Postby Q. » Wed May 28, 2014 8:53 pm

Good riddance byes.

Rookies on the bubble, cash cows moo-ing, numerous under-priced premiums....but only two trades.

Personally, I need wins. The temptation is to trade in two premiums. But rookie bubble-boys are available and might not be for a couple of weeks. Dilemmas.

We all need wins Q. But I don't need cash cows. They keep getting hauled away to the Slaughterhouse. Acres GAWN Tippett GAWN now my POD Enright is out as well. Like to sit on the trades this week but can't afford to get done by Hawkeye when I need to find another five wins to make the eight.

Gosh, some decisions to be made this week... Got some that I'm just not sure about...

Lemmens seems to be living up to his name, but is it worth wasting a trade?
Acres and Georgiou are another two, pull the trigger or hold?
Got some very juicy prices with rookies in polec and Langdon, flip them out or hold onto them as D6 and M8?
Selwood and Watson are pretty cheap atm and worth a look
JKH and Fasolo probably won't reach their BEs so Lennon or Cameron to replace one or both, But which?

I need half a dozen trades but still wouldn't be happy!!!
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

I'm thinking of bringing him this week but only because Boris is out. If you have Boris like I do Bews is a sauve selection because if he gets rested that increases the chances of Bews playing. This might not work so well if Bartel is your Cat in the backline because they can bring in a number of players for Jimmy, but only Bews looks the goods for Boris with Taylor Hunt the whipping boy all of a sudden.

If you are looking for someone to play ten games then Bews is not your man. If you want some quick cash for a downgrade option and a fill in over the next couple of weeks I reckon Bews is a reasonable selection.

I reckon Fasalo can return to some handy scoring if he can stay fit. JKH has to go I reckon. I've already flicked Georgiou because his JS was destroyed by the return of Garland. Polec's B/E is massive, not so Langdon so for mine the Pie stays a bit longer. He also has that DP thing happening as well.

With those options maybe Georgiou for Bews and JKH for Cameron or Lennon. Both money trades. If you've got a tough opponent keep Georgiou and upgrade Polec who won't make his B/E this week.

I really want to jump on Goddard and Steven, but might be better to double downgrade and load up on premiums in coming weeks.

Some cheapy defenders not playing this wee. Tippett is gone, probably for the year. Alyett has been omitted as has Cutler. Makes Bews look better and better all the time.

Langdon named on the bench, has sub written all over him with the Pies playing a weak opposition to freshen him up.
Was hoping to keep him for one more week but may have to off load now

Probably OK but dunno if he can keep pumping out decent scores.

May be a sub candidate at some stage?

In terms of a cash cow I'm leaving him alone I reckon Shenton is a better option this week and probably has better job security.

in a pickle... Need some help...

Hallahan (Hawks), Kane Mitchell and D.Smith (GWS).

One has to be an emergency who would you pick?

Poor score. I copped his 29 with Cutler omitted for the Brions.

I didn't even have the E on Bews. With Cutler out and then Langford being omitted, I was forced to use that second trade to upgrade Langford.

Which means I've missed the Shenton boat.
