Round 5 Discussion

Postby Sorry Dude » Mon Apr 14, 2014 12:55 pm

Short turn around this week with Richmond and Brisbane going head to head @ the 'G' on Thursday night.

Daisy Thomas - does he get one more "last chance"?
Josh Caddy - Is he worth keeping (if you had him initially)?
Tom Hickey/ ben McEvoy - Will they be back this week?
Aaron Sandilands - Will he get games?

Rucks are the biggest concerns for me this week, but hopefully McEvoy is back in the Hawks line up this week.

My initial defence/midfield/ruck picks have turned out to be solid choices. However, my forward line is horribly under-performing and I'm wondering whether I burn trades to fix it.

I don't think you're the only one in that position Q. I have used my "fix it" trades, but unfortunately there was too much to fix from the get go. Thankfuly some of my picks performed this week giving me a 2200+ score for the first time this season. Questions is, will they keep it going?

Unfortunately scores are going to be prone to fluctuations while a team is loaded with rookies.

I've been fortunate enough to have had a couple easy games so far, so my below par scores have been good enough.

Rucks biggest concern for me, i had Mumford, Sandilands and Hickey.. with Mumford out for a couple and Sandilands on report might be time to trade on Sauce Jacobs.. was going to last week for Hickey but didnt have enough free $$.

Might look to top up the backline with another big name, whilst Wingard and Chapman should hopefully come back in this week.

Daisy Thomas - does he get one more "last chance"? Hope so as he will spud up again
Josh Caddy - Is he worth keeping (if you had him initially)? yes, he will be fine
Tom Hickey/ ben McEvoy - Will they be back this week? ruckmen aren't always definites and usually cotton wooled until they are 110%
Aaron Sandilands - Will he get games? Going by the MRP anything could bloody happen!

Rucks are the biggest concerns for me this week, but hopefully McEvoy is back in the Hawks line up this week.

Im hoping to get away with a no trade week this week as I have avoided most of the carnage.

I have Caddy also but i think i'll be sticking it out with him until i get enough $$$ from a rookie downgrade to upgrade him to someone like Nick Riewoldt..

Rohan is sitting on my bench and will likely be traded out for Sam Lloyd next week i would imagine.

The head knock isn't the knock on Caddy's scoring, it is his D/E. Never been great and it was a bit of punt to take him. He could still be a decent pick but he won't average a hundred and is priced too high to be a decent cash cow. I was hoping for an average of ninety.

My worry is the ruck which I stuffed up with Nick Nat, then Mummy DOH.

I have NicNat too... was lucky enough to have Sandilands too but NicNat will need to be upgraded at some stage for me too. Gotta suck it up and stick with them and save my trades at this point.
