It is Port's home game so maybe they should ask the Crows to wear the Big V since they seem to think it is a state game.

The power wear the state jumper every home game, they just changed the colours. Blown way out of proportion.

The crows are just wearing the same design with their colours, can't be helped that their colours are the same as the states.

Swap the blue and the red then... reference it without copying it. (as Port have done)

I wished the SANFL just held out for a couple of years so we could have established an NFL where all the clubs were split into divisions with a promotion/relegation etc. Ah well.

On the guernsey- disgrace. Clambering for history. Just admit you are 23 and build on it. I cant wait til the Gold Coast and GWS get to 20 years old, they can run out in guernseys with Demetrious big fat head on them.

You never know they may actually embrace their 20 years in the comp rather than manufacture some bogus history and tenuous links to a team dating back to the 1860's

Exactly. They have been going for nearly a 1/4 of a century & their heritage started in 1991. Rather than clutch at straws about the Adelaide Football Club from 1874 (or whatever year it was) or say the are paying tribute to the SANFL & the State, they should embrace their OWN heritage. The sooner the Board, members & supporters do this the sooner they can be considered a CLUB in their own right.
The Crows do not represent SA nor do they represent the SANFL, sure they started in SA & their initial pool of players came from the 9 SANFL clubs, an individual CLUB does NOT represent anyone but themselves & their supporters. Again the sooner the Board, members & supporters acknowledge this the sooner they can be considered a CLUB in their own right. Until then the Adelaide Crows will remain a franchise IMO.
