Would love for it to be at the new Adel Oval!
won't be at Adelaide oval remember.

It will if we earn the right to host it.

SACA have applied to have it brought forward.

Bradshaw was saying they have applied for it to be played the week after the showdown - so the week between Round 2 and Round 3 of the AFL.

If things go as expected (QLD v VIC draw - SA win over NSW), the table with 4 games to go will look like this:

SA 22
NSW 18
WA 14
TAS 10
QLD 8
VIC 8

A 2 month break for Big Bash. Will be like a new season by the time the Shield starts again, but great work by the Redbacks so far. Things looking very promising for at least a final!

won't happen.
Logistically it can't happen either. The redbacks last match finishes in the 14th and the final is has to finish by the 21st. And that only leaves one day too set up. It will propably take a week to set up for the concert.
And as of march 31 the oval is footballs and the drop in pitches will be out on Adelaide oval 2

The final will be at Glenelg

My understanding of Bradshaw's statement was that the Stones concert will be on the Saturday night, the Shield final will start on the Monday, finish on Friday and the Showdown will be on Saturday night.
With drop ins and working through the night, it can easily be achieved

theres precedent. The 08/09 final was played at the junction oval due to a concert at the MCG. And the bay has better facilities than the junction oval

there not going to play AFL the day after they after they take the pitch square out. Imagine the law suit if a player is injured by shifting turf where the pitch was

I think they had similar situations when docklans started and they couldn't get the turf to grow, grass sods were so unstable that players sometimes replaced a strip of about two square feet after it'd slid out of place.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

The docklands issues were more related to a lack of natural light. Besides, who grows grass better than South Aussies?

Getting worse, Cooper gone, now 4/31.

Reckon we will lose now unless Ferg stays there.
