Rumours / Player Movement Discussions for 2014

Postby Big Phil » Mon Oct 07, 2013 9:19 pm

As per the last few seasons, post in here with rumours and possible player movement discussions...

Keep the other INS and OUTS thread for officially announced recruits and delistings, retirements etc etc...

Obviously one of the big ones is James Boyd leaving Central...

Also, I heard that Zane Kirkwood met with the Dogs a few weeks back...

Obviously lots of players going to the AFL reserves. Eagles will be particulary hard hit. Hopefully the back ups in the reserves and juniors will fill some of the holes. Should be an interesting off season.

They tried hard to get him last season and are very interested in him. He has 2 very good mates also doing the pre season down there, which would help get him.

Dont think he will get drafted, very very good footballer, but i am not sure his body would stand up to the demands of AFL footy.

I had a chat with Kieran McGuiness on Sunday night and he is 50/50 whether he will stay in Adelaide or head home to Melbourne next year. He's been at Norwood for 5 years now and getting the flag this year has made him think about heading back to Victoria so his 1 year old daughter can grow up around their extended family.

Jericho is definitely back playing for Norwood next season.

I think Jericho won a premiership with the Hong Kong Dragons this year, just to keep that winning feeling going.

Luke Slattery from the magpies back to his junior side Crystal Brook.

Believe Glenelg have signed a Mail Medalist from this year who played juniors at Port.

No way will he stick around at Alberton, especially if he's only going to get a few hundred $$ a game.
